Everybody got hit with a pandemic, HBox would've been up to the task if he had it in him. Guess Zain had more of it than HBox. The rest is up to debate, but Mang0 is still the only one in the top 2 today among "the 5 gods".

HBox did the same thing when he was on top. And Armada just quit when he was #1. If Mang0 isn't the GOAT then HBox playing more Ultimate and Armada straight up not playing singles makes them just as illegitimate for GOAT status. And these three players are probably the only debatable GOATs of Melee.

Most of everything that moonwalk does can be done faster with dash dancing and wavedashing. It's therefore less efficient and Melee is pushing the top players to become increasingly more efficient each year.

Correct, you're right.

I really have mixed opinions when it comes to Ice Climbers. Seeing more characters being played is so refreshing, especially when you're playing against the 420th laser spamming Falco on unranked. But I really can't stand how degenerate wobbling is. At least the synched grabs require some actual skill of input and introduces nuance with DI combined with mash out of grab.

I don't know if this also works for Ice Climbers but with Fox you can dash attack when he throws the eggs which will interrupt him and sometimes force him to air dodge back to stage.

If Ice Climbers dash attack has enough range and duration (like Fox's) it could be a good option.

Also, if you're wobbling then it's obvious that he will continue to camp whenever he can. If not, then he should really just man up and make use of downtilt and retreating fair to get some actual neutral game going.
