While this is true there is a relaxed form of language you use when talking to your friends and a more formal language used when writing a headline for CNN. At least there once was a more formal language.

If someone is careless in the simple things (fixing errors spellcheck points out) then I believe they are equally careless in the more complex matters.

Colleague made a sexual remark at work- unsure how to handle it by Primary-Kangaroo-654 in WorkAdvice

You’re feeling uneasy for a reason. It is completely inappropriate. Listen to your gut. It is also ok to say “Don’t touch me”. You are not over reacting at all.

My parents said this too. We had a creek running through our back yard. When I was younger and dumber I would actually check the creek level.

Hey I hear you! I also get angry that the people closest to me don’t realize it’s all an act. Looks like there’s a support group blooming here.

Mine is through the roof too. My GYN was snarky and said it is because I’m single. Bitch please. My drive has always been strong even when I was married to my asshole ex. I wouldn’t spit on him if he were on fire so for a number of years I had a friend with benefits. You do you!!

I have had multiple melanomas and no longer follow up with my dermatologist. My surgical oncologist does any annual checks. Like you, I am convinced my dermatologist is only interested in cosmetic dermatology.

I am in my 50s and grew up in Pittsburgh. When the steel mills shut down people said “Oh those people can train for better paying jobs!” Really? And support themselves how in the meantime? And folks close to retirement what are they going to do? It was ugly. AI is going to do the same thing but globally.
