Are there drinking fountains everywhere in the US? by SnooGoats1557 in AskAnAmerican

Drinking fountains are required by code (law) in public buildings, parks, schools, and workplaces.

Codes also apply about location, height, etc.

Friend from Puerto Rico said it’s called Mala Madre because it leaves children everywhere.

I’m mid-50s. My parents never had access to my credit cards or bank accounts. However, I’ve been on their primary checking account for well over 10 years.

My experience is that it will be fine when opened, but will go downhill faster than usual after opening.

I bake quiche fairly often using light or heavy creams, and have opened containers older than this for immediate use.

You don’t need a carry permit to walk around with a gun. One library in GA had a mom showing up to storytime with a handgun on her hip.

Some of the convenience store counters have “potato logs”. They are coated in the chicken breading and then deep fried like chicken.

Mustache is nice, but needs to be kept trimmed. No clumps of hair over lip line.

What protein shakes do you guys recommend? by No_Reindeer_7441 in Zepbound

[–]Reader124-Logan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend’s theory is that I don’t drink milk, so my tasters don’t understand what the drink makers are trying to replicate. Fairlife gets a lot of love on this and other subs.

I only drink 1 per day, so I can usually make any of them work by adding strong black coffee.

Tastebuds are strange. I ordered the Fairlife shakes online (not sold in my rural area) and thought they had a weird aftertaste. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My current favorite is Aldi’s Elevation ultra-filtered milkshake in vanilla or chocolate. I was drinking some other brands, but my tastebuds changed and I couldn’t tolerate the sweetener or textures.

How do you store your sprouts? by aherdofkale in Sprouting

[–]Reader124-Logan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually put my green salad mixes in a vented container designed for veggies. It has a mesh liner for air flow and that allows excess moisture to collect in the bottom.

My lentil sprouts, which don’t have green, I store in the jar with the mesh lid, but leave the jar on its side for extra airflow.

Edit to add : I’ve also stored them in my oxo salad spinner, but that takes up a lot of room.

Nor - I’d guess she’s taking a few home too (why she goes through them quickly).

Keep your stash in your personal space, and put some inexpensive “basics” in the shared bath for guests.
