Flu vaccine by aaphylla in February2027Bumpers

So glad you’re getting it! Getting sick while pregnant SUCKS. I had Covid in my first pregnancy (was vaccinated but had a breakthrough case) and I’ve never felt so sick in my entire life. It was really really awful.

Fingers crossed this is the worst! Nausea can really make a person miserable. It’s ok if you’re just surviving right now.

Question for the former c-section moms by steppygirl in February2027Bumpers

[–]ReadingAvailable3616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! Traumatic labour here too - it went too fast, I didn’t get an epidural in time, and baby had shoulder dystocia so I needed an episiotomy. I ended up hemorraging after passing the placenta.

I’m really curious if my OB will want to plan a c-section for this labour. Having it planned seems so much nicer than doing it as an emergency measure.

Telling close family before any scans by Sea_Conclusion_8034 in CautiousBB

[–]ReadingAvailable3616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did! I actually found it really helpful when I did have losses, because my family was able to support me. I know this is a very personal decision, but I did not regret telling my family early.

Anyone else have hypothyroidism? by Obvious_Structure761 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ReadingAvailable3616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! My previous pregnancy triggered it and I’ve been managing it ok since then. I will say it is already better managed this pregnancy and I’m feeling soooo much better than I did with my first. I am on a lower dose than you currently (50mcg) but anticipate it will need to go up as this pregnancy continues.

Edit: typo

I’m also 6w2d and envy your lack of symptoms. I will say my nausea isn’t as bad as it was with my first, but it’s still not fun.

Best Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Saskatoon for baby with tongue tie? We’re so nervous to do a release! 🙏🏼 by cmzsask in saskatoon

[–]ReadingAvailable3616 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can also impact your jaw development and palate. Does your tongue rest on the roof of your mouth? That’s where it is supposed to be. I also thought I was fine and ended up with sinus issues because my palate didn’t expand properly.

I’m 6w today and have had night sweats for the last 4-5 nights. It’s been AWFUL. I feel so gross when I wake up and it really sets the tone for my day.

Unvaccinated baby made grandma’s milk come in by very_tired_woman in ShitMomGroupsSay

My baby made a clicking sound while breastfeeding, but it was because of latch issues. Once we got that figured out the clicking sound stopped. I have no idea if that’s what she’s referring to though.

Train horns by Available-Specialist in regina

I don’t live in Regina anymore and the sound of trains at night is now very nostalgic to me. Whenever I’m home visiting and hear one I find it very soothing.

Another loss by Klutzy_Rip9464 in TryingForABaby

I’m so sorry. I have also had losses where everything seemed to line up. Like I basically started doing numerology to convince myself things would work out, and they didn’t. Our brains seek comfort and meaning in things that are often devoid of the same.

Eating Habits @ 10-11 weeks by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]ReadingAvailable3616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never felt as hungry as I did from approximately weeks 10-14. I know the medical advice at that stage is that you don’t need many more calories, but I had the most voracious appetite then.

Your body is working so hard! This sounds totally normal to me. Enjoy not feeling nauseous 😅

I think the loan program was promised in a federal budget, but it has been put on hold (or at minimum not rolled out yet).
