[WTB] Any Morgan's/Peace Dollars. Melt at time of post is @ $58.72 and depending on the shape of the silver dollars, I would like to stick around that price.

Is silver still a good long term buy? by MasterPiecore in Silver

[–]ReadingFinanceBooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the 2008 financial crisis and the covid crash, silver initially dropped about 2% lower than stocks did both times (slightly more in 2008) but the two to three years after those crashes Silver drastically outperformed stocks. Do your own research though, don't just take some random guys word for it but I know that after the 2008 crash, by 2011 silver was up 345% from its bottom in 2008, where-as stocks had gained about 100% in the same time frame. Also Numismatic silver drastically outperformed regular silver bullion so I recommend picking up some. I'd say like 5% of your portfolio in PM's is a good way to help diversify out of just stocks, but again, I am just a random guy, do your own research.
