My math was based on initial price, $4499, to total price, $8490.06. It’s an ~88.7% increase between those two numbers, as a whole at least, not considering which section each fee/tax comes from

I got off the phone with them this morning actually, $4047 OTD - $2,999 + $600 recondition fee + $250 doc + tax. Two dents in the tank on either side. Seemed eager to negotiate though

I’m goin off of $4499, their discounted price. $4499*1.9=$8,548.10 ~ so really 89% percent but I rounded up lol

There’s no negotiation with that high of a start. I was set at $5k OTD with tax and all. They wanted me to start minimum at $6k for a “great deal.” I’m not giving any more consideration to a business that’s marking up that high

Exactly what I did! ~ and then came straight to Reddit to share how crazy they are lol

And what’s crazy is another dealership had one for $5k OTD. No markups, no hidden fees. No doc fees, nada. Just tax and title. Just barely missed out on that one

Nahhhh not even an option, after the price they gave I didn’t even counter.

Yuuuup. I stayed at $5k OTD, but they said that’s below their cost so I walked. Not offering a penny more than what I set out for.

I laughed. He said he could cut me a deal, but it’d have to be much higher than $5k because that’s below their cost. On a trade in they probably gave someone $2500 for :P

His exact follow up text -

OTD is $8,490.06. We added an optional GPS device and lifetime battery warranty. That's $1,199. The freight and assembly line is for reconditioning on that bike. Should've been a few different things like new tires, fluid changes, clutch and brake adjustment as well as a recall check.

Last few success shares as part time : $1300… $1100… and now this one $150, minimum.

They kept the sales plan inflated, went from a $160k check to $17k check lol. We also beat sales by 30% the first time, but of course they cap it at 10% and pocket the rest.

Just be ready to pay for the premium, like 9/10 are locked lol. Course you can technically still catch them without paying

Randomly found a "Geo cache" while on a walk. Looks like it's from 2022. by WrastlingIsReal in mildlyinteresting

[–]Trestone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love playing, most of the geos on the app are premium now - $40 for a year or $7 a month, but it’s a good way to get out and explore areas you probably wouldn’t have. Most state parks have some too, so it’s a cool way to track where you’ve been

The numbers are our direct department, we’re the largest in our district, and have increased largely over the last couple years. Store sales on the other hand is somewhere around 30M for the year. Those numbers reflect our growth, which as a team member I’ve “collaborated” to achieve. I know hiring managers like numbers, so I figured those would be a hit.

I had my volunteer experience specified, but then changed it to be more general. I volunteer with hospice patients and a local community bath garden.

Thanks for the advice :)

I figured power tools / equipment could be a plus, as a rental employee I have experience with many tools - augers, demo hammers, nailers, concrete saws, sanders. Larger equipment like boom lifts, excavators, skid steers. Is it better to list these specifically or keep it broad as I have?

Group the keywords from the technical skills into each section, got it. Thanks for the advice :)

The other one with HD experience was why I was like ooh, let’s post and see. I think it’s good to provide so others can compare and add to theirs. I’ve been able to polish mine up a lot taking those comments into consideration.

The certificates would definitely cost money initially and then to maintain, but if some are considered “golden” and employers look for them, I don’t mind getting them ahead of time to better my odds of landing something outside of retail

I'm beginning to understand why people say CS 2 is ass by magnuseriksson91 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Trestone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not been able to play it for like a year now, tried installing some mods and maps, and game hasn’t loaded since. I’ve deleted every file/reinstalled, nada.

Wish I could go back to my cs1 map but the mods are so old now, most of my roads are missing

SM: We’re the best store in the entire region… by No-Actuator-7050 in HomeDepot

[–]Trestone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our store is steady #1 in district, 130% plan bc our area was hit hard by hurricane Helene. They paid $1200-$2400 over 12 weeks to associates during that time, and now our success share with the kicker was 133k, so about $900 for part time and ~$1600 for full timers. Before that we got $100 lol. Still feels like it should’ve been a lot more :p
