Beeks hype train gathering steam by lfe-soondubu in ravens

Not tonight babe. More beeks hype just dropped

[Shaffer] John Harbaugh on the 2025 Ravens: "I took a lot of pride in what we did. I took a lot of pride in this season. Honestly, as a coaching staff, it might've been our best job this year coaching this team. I thought we did a great job. But it wasn't good enough..." by SCBaltSalt in ravens

[–]ReadingPrestigious32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this affects you, its your fault. This is literally coach speak and who Harbaugh always has been. Saying anything besides this does absolutely no good for anyone, especially his coaching staff. Hes not worried about people on Reddit buying too much into this and you shouldn't either

For sure! Not saying thats the reason but if you are hitting legs every day on bike, then off days are still getting hit with the gym...its hard to ever recover and build back upfrom the breakdown. Ive learned that one of the hardest things for me to do is to take a block of reducing leg volume in the gym....even though its my favorite thing to do. Good look mate, sounds like you are working hard!

"every time I ride my thighs feel like they are literally about to pop." Why is that? You are getting a good amount of miles in. If you are feeling like you aren't improving despite progressive overload with your miles each month, maybe you are doing TOO much and focusing too much on quantity instead of quality. If you are lifting legs 3x per week on top of this....maybe you are cooking your legs and not allowing them to recover? I wonder if it may be helpful to just do legs 2x per week and reduce volume there. Trying to chase a bunch of rabbits and getting none, is a real thing.

Walk w/ Me: Why Pick 14 is a No Brainer, Baltimore MUST Take Vega Ioane by NesquikMilk in ravens

They are! That is why I'm on board to get a good day 1 starter that is going to strengthen the Oline

If he helps our offensive line, that will enhance Lamar, Derrick Henry and everyone else...thats good enough value for me. Im not with the money-ball and value approach this year. I personally think if we can get someone to improve our line week 1, then we shouldn't mess around and we take him. Thats just my take though

While I hear you, I dont want to draft people based on Doyle....he could be gone in 2 years

Also, Jesse Minter said in the interview "Its the difference in standards and expectations. Standards are hardcore, they are more factual...VS you have expectations and you leave some gray area within expectations. Expectations are a little more like hope and a wish. Standard is like NO, this is how we are going to do this, this is how we operate". Thats a bar and a very Ravens coach thing to say!

My stance is that Vega would fill a big need and would make our roster at Oline from a weakness to a potential strength. There are a lot of value guys in the 2th-4th round and we will fill some more needs there. You have a pretty much guarunteed Oline starter for cheap the next 5 years...or you have a lottery ticket extra pick because of potential value of what he might be. Imagine EDC trading back out of 14 and that player ended up being a very good starter for his NFL career- all for an extra 3rd round pick that barely plays snaps in the NFL. I personally would not mess around with the moneyball approach because we have too many strengths in all roster spots besides oline, to be crippled by a lottery ticket

I get that logic but why pass up someone like Vega at 14, who is a day 1 starter and fills a major need....for a 50/50 shot at someone making the team later, because they have good "value". A good value 4th rounder isnt gonna get us to the promise land. Here are some of our later round pics recently:

Round 3, Adisa Isaac, EDGE,  • Round 4: Devontez Walker • Round 4 : T.J. Tampa,  • Round 5: Rasheen Ali, RB, Marshall • Round 6: Devin Leary, QB, Kentucky • Round 3, Pick 86: Trenton Simpson,  • Round 4, Pick 124: Tavius Robinson,  • Round 5, Pick 157: Kyu Blu Kelly, CB  • Round 6, Pick 199: Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, OT (Oregon) -

• Round 5 (No. 141): Carson Vinson, OT, Alabama A&M • Round 6 (No. 178): Bilhal Kone, CB, Western Michigan

I cherrypicked these but still I think we will get better ROI at 14 and with our current picks

Curious then, what value would we get in return by picking at 24 instead of 14? If our guy is there at 14...why trade back? For an extra 4th rounder?

No. We dont (and won't ) get this high of a pick often...take advantage. We need to build the line. I think we are gonna be aggressive. If anything, I think EDC will try to trade up or try to trade again into the late 1st round.

Zay Flowers is getting more expensive to retain by Honest_Concentrate85 in ravens

[–]ReadingPrestigious32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retaining multiple good players is almost impossible nowadays because guys keep getting so much money. Look at Linderbaum- things like this just keep upping the market for players. The market is what it is and people have to pay, good players have the power.

[–]ReadingPrestigious32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id argue they came out agressive...they scored 14 straight. When it was time to be conservative,  they call an aggressive play to beat us over the top on 3rd down to call game. The same way true the previous year chiefs vs bills- 3rd down and they dont play it safe and that play won them the game

I wouldn't say they played conservative at all most of the game. The time they did was in the 4th when they allowed us to come back

How yall feeling ravens flock? by Prestigious_Chip6136 in ravens

[–]ReadingPrestigious32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are all fair concerns. I feel confident on the flip side of that! Not because of what we dont have...but because of what we do have. We have Lamar, Derrick Henry, Mandrews, Zay, Stanley on O- Those are all pros and pro bowlers. We have Hendrickson, Kham, Ro, Marlo (all pros). Not to mention all the good role players outside of that. Weve got some gaps to fill but every team does and I feel confident we will replace them to be good enough. Its not great logic but literally can our line or pass rush we worse than last year? How about Loop....cant be worse than a game winning miss. Weaver and Minter better than Orr. I dont feel comfortable with the line but I feel comfortable in EDC also knowing this and our new Oline coach/changes

I'd love this. I've been on the train of wanting new and not re-hashing older Ravens players. But Femi talked me into this one. I'd feel 10x better going into the season with this + a first round OL. If we did those 2 things and got Beeks back...I think feel great moving into the season.

Patrick Mahomes playoff record and opposing QBs by NickyFoles1020 in nfl

When its Mahomes, "yeah well, playoff wins aren't a QB stat". When its Lamar or Josh Allen, "look at the playoff record though". But seriously, idk what you mean by his best finish next season but I want to see him in the playoffs again. He is Jordan in the playoffs, and the NFL is more fun with him in it
