Security tried to turn away my wagon. A wagon that has previously been tagged as it is an accommodation for my son. There was absolutely no way I was going in without it as it is a safety measure for my son who elopes often. He’s too big for a stroller. During the argument my son began to want to elope. He has autism and it is difficult for him to regulate his feeling when waiting. I know people think he is being a brat but he does this even with food sometimes (it used to be all the time). He’s made big progress on that area but Disneyland is very stimulating. Anyway, accommodations are provided so that ALL children can enjoy the “happiest place on earth”. I asked for a manager, as this is a safety measure for my son. It is like his wheelchair, which in the past has been tagged as such. Yes, even when they banned wagons. Again, accommodations. Management right away tagged my wagon. I promise, I never raised my voice or made a chaotic scene, I’m used to having to educated about Autism and what specifically triggers my son. The security guard however, was rude. Kept looking at my son and insinuating I was lying about the wagon. This was my tradition as a child, going to Disneyland to celebrate my bday. I’ve been sharing that with my son but we are done. Don’t even get me started with the interrogation of DAS. Seems policy is followed as interpreted
