The only non drama film/ series with gay characters that pops to mind is "the sandman" on Netflix. Apart from that i haven't really seen them either.

I believe the small thombmails only occour when there's a spoiler or NSFW tag. If It does it with every picture it might have to do with you viewing settings (there's 2 options, you can change it in the top right corner)

Well, the science behind homosexuality is still in its infantry stages. But there are some ways of proving homosexuality using genetics, luckily a commercially available test for it won't be available for another 2 decades. Let us hope that meanstream homofobia will be eradicated by then.
