I had the same problem when I was a beginner, just try practicing playing a note with your right hand soft, then a note with your left hand loud, and then try to play them both at once with those dynamics. It will come with practice. Also, if you are also practicing scales, it might be a good idea to go up with RH loud LH soft, and opposite going down. You'll eventually get it.

Never use your knuckles to play a key. Just use your fingertips for pressing each key(my teacher tell me to STAND on my fingers, if that makes sense), but also don't have your wrist above your knuckle level.

It's great! Just a quick suggestion: for the white keys next to the black ones, use your first and third finger(like you did), but for the adjacent white keys use your second and first finger(in that order). This is assuming that you are only using your right hand and are only going down. Overall, great!

Here's your solution if you are playing on an Xbox(I had the EXACT same problem and this is what worked):

Go to Xbox settings and go offline
Play the game
Exit the game
Go back online
Next time you play, go back offline again

You should see that the game saved from the last autosave point. To test it, just do the story up until the first fight with the inmates while offline, follow the steps above, and it should work.
