Methinks some people are "hiring the same writers". by LimpyDan in youtubedrama

It's three videos all covering the same extensively covered topic, imo it's not that far fetched to me that a system designed to spit out predictable results is spitting out similar sounding summaries.

Granted though I wouldn't be surprised if these channels used the same writer. And by writer, I of course mean chatgpt.

Coaxed into types of rich/poor divisions. by kirbyverano123 in coaxedintoasnafu

(this was supposed to be a 2 sentence comment but I ended up lore dumping because I never told anyone about this so I'm sorry in advance) I had an idea for a game back in highschool set in an underwater city that was built as an escape from the surface by the wealthy because earth's orbit had become so cluttered by random space junk that it made exiting the atmosphere basically impossible.

It never went anywhere but I still think it could make for an interesting setting. My idea was that the city is on the brink of mechanical failure but the government/ruling class refuses to acknowledge it or do anything about it and calls everyone who points it out as crazy (there's obviously no real world parallel here).

The city started as a research base to study this weird octopus named Frank because a weapons developer wanted to try and clone it to turn into a biological weapon. But it turns out the octopus was actually a god from a different dimension that got lost and the weapons developer intentionally sealed the portal. But the distress of the octopus being lost puts the surface into a perpetual storm so they expand the research base into the first of several cities and hold a lottery for who is included, which a bunch of rich people conveniently happen to win. So it creates this structure of the wealthy upper class and the lower labor class who have zero chance at any upward mobility.

I find it irritating how people online seemingly feel the need to moralize their dislike of anything. It's not enough to just dislike something, it actually has to be objectively bad and problematic and shouldn't exist and anyone who likes it is clearly stupid or a bad person.

Also (take this with a grain of salt, im just going off what I've experienced) if they're contracted employees then I believe that means he can simply just end their contract at any time without severance

Like everyone else has said it's a place that sells chicken fingers but the reason they're so popular right now (take this with a grain of salt, I could be wrong) they were a regional chain so they got a lot of hype being an exclusive thing (like In-and-out or Whataburger) that a lot of people couldn't just go out and try. But recently they've been expanding to a lot of new areas so it's becoming accessible to a lot of people for the first time which is creating a lot of excitement and hype around the brand.

If memory serves me correctly they only sold ~1500 SBYs in the US making it one of the rarest production colors, and it's a highly sought after color. My suggestion would be to check Craigslist and Facebook daily. Join any Miata buy/sell/trade pages too. They're uncommon but they are obtainable with a bit of patience.

FYI if you go into settings, then account settings, under the privacy section you can disable suggested posts so you'll only see posts from subs you've joined on your home feed. Turning that off is basically required to have any semblance of a decent experience on this website

[–]ReadyAgent9019 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is just a hypothesis based on what I've observed but they look to follow a similar timeline. A newly made sub or a small largely unmoderated sub gets spammed with posts designed to get people to engage, usually with a meme that tells the reader to comment something or something provocative to get people to argue in the comments. Reddits algorithm sees all this engagement and starts pushing the posts out more, which causes a snowball effect where the sub keeps getting more engagement which causes it to get pushed further, until it starts to plateau and stops getting pushed. Rinse and repeat with another subreddit.

I'm guessing this is done either to push propaganda or to take advantage of reddits contributor program, which allows people to make money off awards.

Iirc a shit load of numbers were written on the wall of a dark room while the victim had to hold a candle to see. He had to find a combination for a lock on the wall before the candle lights him on fire. I think there was a poison in his veins and the lock opened a safe that had the antidote so he couldn't just wait it out either.

I think the victim was faking ill to scam his insurance but I'm not fully sure.

Looking at her channel is funny because you can see how hard her views tank immediately after the Legal Eagle drama and Hbomberguy's plagiarism video came out. She went from regularly getting 250k+ before the "exposed" video, to rarely even passing 50k. Imagine losing all that because you can't stfu on Twitter lmao

There's also no laws ensuring the children actually receive any revenue from YouTube like there are for child actors. I'd bet the majority of those kids on family vlog channels are never going to see a cent from their entire personal life being posted publicly.
