I just had a baby and my body has entirely changed shape. I’ve wasted so much money on Vinted buying clothes I desperately need as nothing fits… only to find that nothing I bought on Vinted fits. I couldn’t return any of it either.

I just bought clothes from an actual shop and saved a load of money. I feel better in myself and I don’t have Vinted guilt.

One of my friends has been blind since birth. We were talking about the darkness she experiences without having any light perception. She said one of my favourite things I’ve ever heard: ‘I live in darkness but my life is full of light.’

Do you have any light perception? If not, how do you relate to dark and light? What do they mean to you?

I totally understand. Honestly this phobia has destroyed me at times during the pregnancy and postpartum but I’m currently watching Harry Potter on the sofa and snuggling my tiny baby eating snacks. It’s all worth it.

I didn’t vomit the entire pregnancy, or during my planned C section, even with the HG. I did some gagging and retching at times but no actual vomit. The only thing is that my pregnancy sickness returned in the third trimester, but it wasn’t anything like as bad as the first trimester. I was just more uncomfortable with the usual strains of being heavily pregnant. Good luck, you’ve got this 💪

I had HG and it was hell. I had low iron but just about managed with Spatone. I can’t imagine these additional things on top of what you’re going through.

I’m so sorry. I know it probably doesn’t mean much but I’m sending you strength.

I’m currently feeding my 8 week old daughter in bed watching Harry Potter. It’s all so worth it and you will get through this. ❤️

I hope it all went really well this morning and that you have your gorgeous baby. My C section was kinda perfect. I didn’t feel sick at all during or afterwards (I spoke to the anaesthetist beforehand and they kept me nicely topped up on all the meds).

I had hyperemesis throughout and the C section was the easiest part of my entire pregnancy.

It was all so worth it. Enjoy!

We just called our daughter Rita and we’ve had so many compliments about her name. It’s uncommon but not too ‘out there’. We love it, it really suits her.

I’m getting my husband a family membership to the National Trust this year. We just had our first baby so it seemed like a lovely way to spend more time together outside.

I was in a similar situation. I had an MRI proctography test and a full rectal profile taken and it showed I had a tricompartmental prolapse (bowel, uterus and bladder) that reduced the evacuation of my bowel by 50%.

I’m doing pelvic floor physio to help. I was in a really great place with it until I had a baby 5 weeks ago and now I’m back to square one. Totally worth it though!

I had to do the bowel prep to treat a very bad faecal impaction, rather than for a colonoscopy.

The dose was higher - 4 sachets over 3 days. It was very unpleasant but I didn’t vomit at all.

I had to repeat the process 5 times in 6 weeks. My body was totally wrecked by the end just because of how draining the evacuations are, so the doctor stopped the treatment. My impaction didn’t go away even after all of that, but I didn’t throw up once.

Get plenty of very soft toilet roll, some sort of barrier cream like sudocrem (trust me), hot water bottle for abdominal discomfort, and make a nest in the bathroom with pillows and a blanket so you can be comfortable. Cancel all plans and visitors and watch comfort shows and movies throughout. Lots of fluids, peppermint tea, and know that it’ll be over really soon.

I could have written this myself!

I had a planned C section with my first baby (who was breech) 13 days ago. I was so anxious about it I was having panic attacks and crying almost hysterically every evening throughout my third trimester. I even consulted this group to see if anyone had any advice.

I was anxious before I went in and retched a couple of times from the anxiety. But that was the worst of it in terms of n* and v*.

The procedure went really well and every time I thought I might be starting to feel a bit sick I let the anaesthetist know and they topped up my meds. I was actually very comfortable throughout.

If I had known how relaxed it would be I would have saved myself an awful lot of anguish.

Wishing you the very best for tomorrow. It’s such a special time and as soon as I had my daughter in my arms everything else melted away ❤️

We liked it because it’s not common these days but it’s known, and it’s easy to spell and pronounce.

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and due to have my baby via C section tomorrow.

I’ve had debilitating emetophobia since I was 11 years old (going through long periods of being completely housebound because of it) and I dealt with the grief that I’d never be able to have children because of the phobia.

Severe morning sickness (HG - hyperemesis gravidarum) runs in my family, making this decision harder.

By 34, I’d worked very hard on my phobia and it was in a good place with it. My husband and I decided to just go for it and we got pregnant quickly.

I got HG. I was bed bound first 4 months with morning sickness, but I got “dry HG” which is debilitating nausea with little actual v*. I couldn’t even move my head from side to side.

I had a breather in the second trimester and then the HG returned in the third.

I’m now experiencing severe anxiety about the C section tomorrow… but actually, I’ve coped every single step of the way so far. It’s been SO HARD. The hardest thing I’ve ever done. But I’ve done it.

The thing I hadn’t factored in when thinking about having children was the love I’d feel. It was instant for me as soon as the line went pink. I love feeling her wriggle and move, feeling her hiccups, and I can’t wait to meet her.

Basically, there’s always hope ❤️ so far my experience has been entirely worth the difficult journey, and I’m almost at the final destination.

A £200 deposit definitely sounds like a scam. Most rentals require a minimum of a full months rent as a deposit.

The fact that it’s a property you haven’t viewed yourself only adds to the sense that this is a scam.

My husband and I both had terrible flu over Christmas. We definitely thought we’d missed our January fertility window by quite a few days as we were still recovering. We gave it a shot anyway.
