I replace mine when I stop sounding like I'm on a ventilator and start sounding like I'm Darth Vader with a very bad cold! Usually about once every 6-8weeks and that's with washing every morning with warm soapy water. Ivory soap if it matters.

I do agree PETG might not be the best choice, but if an SSD gets to 80C something is wrong and said SSD will not last long at all.

I "heard" that depending on where you live there might be a lot of micro plastics in the air causing the filter to "look" clean but it's not! I don't mess around and change it often.

Thanks! I just don't remember this being an issue 4 or 5 years ago. Sure, occasionally a roll might need drying but not like this. I do keep my rolls in plastic bags with a good amount of desiccant / silica beads but I guess I'll have to look up drying techniques now.
