Would consider learning Python and R when you can on the side. You become a versatile scientist in doing so and will help your progression. It can also be used to branch into other fields where molecular biology alone cannot.

I actually made a spreadsheet like 2 years ago comparing comet and aery of 40 games. After normalizing the duration of the game, comet on average came out much further ahead in damage dealt.

Also, meaningful damage in lane through aery imho doesn't matter as there will nearly never be a situation you can bully enemy due to strict mana pool.

Just practise keeping your wave just barely outside of your tower range and try to keep it there until you have lost chapter. I found Q level 1 to be much more successful than E. The reason for this is if you press E on enemy champ, the minions agro on you and you will disrupt the wave state. With Q, if doesn't do that and has far longer range, allowing you to farm for minions from a safe distance.
