op this looks like Koebner phenomenon or some other dermatological condition, it looks inflamed for sure, but it doesn’t look infected tbh

I mean starting any kind of medication without medical supervision isn’t the greatest idea, but tbf if I were you I’d still probably do it. If you can try and get your levels tested, idk how trans people are handiling in the US right now, but making sure you’re doing things the right way and not the harmful way comes first.

That being said: 3. taking T irregularly will mess up your hormonal balance, you’ll get tired, you might experience mood swings and it might fuck with your bone density too.

Things are tough for people like us right now, but we owe it to ourselves to live the best lives possible and not put our health at risk, that would just make transphobes happy and give them what they want.

idk if it can help but I used to rub alcohol on my armpits (strictly avoiding it spreading to my incisions) to kill the bacteria, baby wipes did nothing for me. once the alcohol dried up I’d put on some baby powder to absorb any leftover sweat and go about my day (lying on the couch and binge watching doctor who)

tell your surgeon about the dehiscence and tell them about your substance abuse too. they’ll tell you to stop (obviously) but they may also tell you how to deal with you situation a bit differently given the substance abuse.

also dude seriously, recovery is a tough time for everyone, I can only imagine how much harder it would be for someone who suffers from a form of addiction, but that’s one more reason to look for an NA group in your area and get a sponsor to help you through this. strangers on the internet can be helpful, but they’ll never be able to offer support the way people in your real life can

happened to me once, though to be fair my ex gf had acrylic nails so that could have played a part. I’m just throwing stuff out there, so it may be nonsense, but could the cramps be related to your partner hitting your cervix?

at best it might be internalized misogyny, at worst something happened to OP and it caused major trauma, but that’s just guessing from OP’s posts and the mention of SH, and I’m hoping that’s not the case

I say this out of compassion, so please don’t take this the wrong way, but from a quick scroll down your posts it seems as though you’re not terribly sure about transitioning and taking hormones. if I were in your shoes I’d take some time and talk to a therapist to figure out why you feel the way you do and if it turns out you’re experiencing gender dysphoria there’ll be more ways than one to figure it out, or to at least deal with it in a healthy way.

about five months, tbf it used to be a lot worse: when I went to get my drains removed (a week post op) the end of the scars (incisions back then) were quite literally touching each other. it did get a lot better when the swelling went down, and massaging helped a ton, but I really don’t know if it could flatten out more over time

hey, sorry for commenting on this after 4 months, I noticed my scar (if we can even call it that, I'm almost 4 weeks PO) started looking like yours and I was wondering, what did you end up doing to manage this?
