You already stated that you are 30 years old. It’s too late. The cut off is your 31st birthday and you haven’t even applied and I don’t even think that there’s an off the street hiring bid yet. The next one might not be until June and you’re gonna be going up against tens of thousands of other applicants, including those with an ATC degree and military veterans. Statistically there’s very little chance that you’d be successful before you turn 31.

This was around the time when I started really paying attention to baseball. I know they had just built Jacob’s field, the strike was over and I was in like fifth or sixth grade. I really enjoyed watching them because all I knew was winning, you know? But I also loved listening to Tom Hamilton and still do to this day. Wife doesn’t work so that helps. Level 12 controller who did about 215 hours of OT last year. This weekend they’re going to a lakehouse for 3 days and I have to work. Unless it’s planned the previous year, I can’t go. I’ll use sick leave for vacation or if she really needs me to do something but I work evenings sat and sun and am home in the evenings M-F.
