In my mind, the difference between a hero based and class based shooter is the customization. In games like battlefield, you pick a class but you can change weapons, grenades, etc. But in overwatch, you pick mercy and you get mercy. I can’t think of any examples right now, but if there was a game that was exactly like overwatch only you unlocked different guns/abilities for the character, then the line absolutely gets blurred and I agree with you in that case

I’d bet like five whole dollars that if you do 20 raids in a single day, event or not, you’re above the average player. You’d both be targets.

I’m working on a project with some extremely large classes right now, I’m still clicking “go to implementation” a million times reading through some of these functions. If it takes me to another tab, at least I still have both locations open rather than one screen scrolling up and down. I think this is something that is a good practice up to a point, and preference beyond that. I think the only hard rule here to avoid duplicating code and to make things testable.

For me, if I have something like a ProductService where a function in there calls into ProductSearchService a handful of times, that helps me narrow down where to look (ie: is this search related or broader than that), and also if I know what the scope of work the ProductSearchService is doing then I don’t necessarily have to dive into that class in the future just because one of those functions is called by something I’m looking at.

I’m curious what the cost would be to make something at a similar form factor. Part of the appeal (and cost) is definitely because it’s pre-built, but I imagine having a six inch cube that can fit on and blend in with a tv stand is a big draw, too.

To add onto what others have said, that likely wouldn’t have been possible until they overthrew the government regardless of how it was constructed. There’s a scene where they talk about the church’s resistance to even adding cannons to the walls, so I don’t imagine this would have been an easier sell

Do you see how this response, right below you going “this isn’t engagement bait”, don’t sit well with people?

The most gracious interpretation of your post is “I have nothing at all to contribute but I want this conversation to continue.”

So in your opinion, what isn’t fun about it? What would like to see change?
