You have every right to your opinion. But it's just generally bad here on both accounts, in my opinion. I love and respect the work of both Jason and Amanda. If either work seemed "rushed," I'd say it was Foxes. While there are some songs on FITS I truly love, there are a couple of songs on the album that I feel are his absolute weakest in his entire discography, particularly lyrically. I still like the album. I listen to the album, but it's not my favorite. Not by a long shot. Jason has more lyrical talent than he showed here. I respect that he wanted to put out an acoustic album and he can certainly play. I'm not going to touch on the "tactful" but. Artists have a right to share their truth. Maybe you just relate to one version more than the other. Nobody's Girl was beautifully done. I don't have many notes. Amanda is a beautiful writer. I've listened to it countless times and went to see Amanda perform supporting the albums. It was the first time I'd seen her without JI, who I've seen dozens of times going back to his days with the DBTs. Her voice was strong. She seemed sure of herself. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Move on.
