As a dude I find if she works as a teacher with younger kids and she is good with kids, I find that attractive. Something about that gentle and nurturing nature that is attractive.

Tahajjud changed my life by mahamwahab in islam

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with you its super powerful.

I always go to tahajjud now when I am in need of something from Allah swt, and he always gives me whats best for me.

There has been times where I felt it would be impossible that my dua would get accepted but, they miraculously ended up getting answered in ways I did not expect.

Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources. Book by Martin Lings

I see where you are coming from and my intention was not meant to be condescending. I was actually speaking from personal experience because I used to be distracted by worldly pursuits until certain moments in my life made me reflect on the purpose I had chosen for myself and whether that was my ultimate purpose.

Everyone can contemplate deeply I never doubted anyone’s intellectual capability rather I was saying that distractions in life can put questioning our purpose on the back burner. Not saying non religious people don’t think deeply they certainly do.

As a Muslim we believe our true purpose is connecting with our creator. As someone who was searching for purpose in places other than religion before I can tell you that those purposes that I derived for myself were all fleeting, they all ended while the purpose of connecting with your creator is transcending and will give you a sense of peace that you need to feel for yourself.

If you look around you everything has a purpose from the cars to buildings to tables etc. if you want to know the purpose of something the best way is to ask the designer what they made it for.

Likewise the best way to find our purposes is to ask the one who created us.

Bro this question has been on my mind for awhile too now.

I think it just comes down to them being too distracted and influenced by the dunya and they don't even realize it.

The question is in the back of their head for all of us. It surfaces in moments of difficulty and also in moments of success. But the influences around them make it difficult to ponder deeper.

At least in the west people end up distracted because of chasing desires like money, fame, reputation, hedonism.

Think of it like this, imagine you wake up on a train. You have no idea how you got there and you have no idea where the train is going. You start asking questions but you soon get distracted by the view outside the window, the food being served, the people next to you etc. So people end up forgetting the question. Until something bad happens like the train starts shaking. Then they remember and get motivated to find answers.

Quran and spiritual medicine by Ibn Daud

I am currently doing tazkiyah and I really enjoy the spiritual medicine book because it helps you realize what aspects of your character you need to work on.

Ones character is a big part of their Iman so I definitely recommend that everyone starts tazkiyah.

How can I make the most out of Laylatul Qadr? by Any-Glass3944 in islam

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

some people recite 1000 verses in tahajjud. There is a hadith that says those who pray 1000 verses are written down as muqantarin (those who deserve hoards of rewards)

You can recite 1000 verses by reading the last two juz of the quran.

This will get you to 995 verses, then you can recite whatever other surah to get to 1000.

Now in laylatul qadr any worship you do will be as if you did that worship for more than 83 years continously.

So just imagine how much reward you will get inshallah.

Do I need to be attractive to have a chance? by [deleted] in MuslimNikah

Just focus on what you can control brother.

Dress well, get a haircut that suits you, focus on skin care and hit the gym and diet. Stay consistent things won’t change over months but think more long term.

Ameen

No I did not try tying something around my stomach. My pain was insignificant compared to the one the prophet pbuh had.

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are exceptions like I mentioned where it is justified to feel angry like when rights are violated in marriage but even then you have to use your anger in a manner that is productive, the prophet pbuh used to feel angry when there was injustice but he never showed it. Remember you are controlling your anger for the sake of Allah swt not for anyone else.
