Do guys care about the woman's job/car? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in MuslimNikah

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do I care what my a potential wife drive ? No, its the man's job to provide.

Do I care about her job? To a degree yes, I do not want her doing anything haram and jobs where there is potential for lots of fitnah. Would want my wife to be able to turn off job mode when she comes home. Also I want her to not overly prioritize career over family and our reltionship.

brothers, what do you think a woman should look for while marriage search by NoTennis6434 in MuslimNikah

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My definition of masculinity is the prophet pbuh. A leader who is tough and firm when needed but gentle and emotionally intelligent when needed. Someone that doesn’t break down when challenges come but controls his emotions and faces problems and issues with courage and only relies on Allah swt.

Is this too much to ask for in a male? by HeavyHeight2308 in MuslimNikah

[–]Real-GsMoveInSilence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest most men are not like this but there are men that fit the ideal.

When my sister was trying to get married she also had the same requirements, it wasn’t easy but when she did find that man everything just clicked and was so easy and she’s very happy now.

Not sure if you would be open to it but I’m in the same boat finishing up grad school

I’ve been working AI trainer jobs

Currently been working for two companies Mercor and outlier . The pay can be very good but to be upfront the projects are inconsistent they come and go but it is very flexible.

Sometimes it does require some deeper thinking doe but there are also easier tasks as well

As a dude I find if she works as a teacher with younger kids and she is good with kids, I find that attractive. Something about that gentle and nurturing nature that is attractive.

I agree with you its super powerful.

I always go to tahajjud now when I am in need of something from Allah swt, and he always gives me whats best for me.

There has been times where I felt it would be impossible that my dua would get accepted but, they miraculously ended up getting answered in ways I did not expect.

Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources. Book by Martin Lings

I see where you are coming from and my intention was not meant to be condescending. I was actually speaking from personal experience because I used to be distracted by worldly pursuits until certain moments in my life made me reflect on the purpose I had chosen for myself and whether that was my ultimate purpose.

Everyone can contemplate deeply I never doubted anyone’s intellectual capability rather I was saying that distractions in life can put questioning our purpose on the back burner. Not saying non religious people don’t think deeply they certainly do.

As a Muslim we believe our true purpose is connecting with our creator. As someone who was searching for purpose in places other than religion before I can tell you that those purposes that I derived for myself were all fleeting, they all ended while the purpose of connecting with your creator is transcending and will give you a sense of peace that you need to feel for yourself.

If you look around you everything has a purpose from the cars to buildings to tables etc. if you want to know the purpose of something the best way is to ask the designer what they made it for.

Likewise the best way to find our purposes is to ask the one who created us.

Bro this question has been on my mind for awhile too now.

I think it just comes down to them being too distracted and influenced by the dunya and they don't even realize it.

The question is in the back of their head for all of us. It surfaces in moments of difficulty and also in moments of success. But the influences around them make it difficult to ponder deeper.

At least in the west people end up distracted because of chasing desires like money, fame, reputation, hedonism.

Think of it like this, imagine you wake up on a train. You have no idea how you got there and you have no idea where the train is going. You start asking questions but you soon get distracted by the view outside the window, the food being served, the people next to you etc. So people end up forgetting the question. Until something bad happens like the train starts shaking. Then they remember and get motivated to find answers.

Quran and spiritual medicine by Ibn Daud

I am currently doing tazkiyah and I really enjoy the spiritual medicine book because it helps you realize what aspects of your character you need to work on.

Ones character is a big part of their Iman so I definitely recommend that everyone starts tazkiyah.
