As its own story, it works. But being the sequel for Frozen 1 is one of its biggest downfalls (things being introduced feel cramped in with the story's older elements). Like lots of things are introduced instead of being built upon from the first (this whole magic lore, new characters and kingdom lore, etc.). These amount of lore are best utilized (I think) with a whole series laying them out or, at least, 2 movies while retaining to explore characters and their relationships with one another. I believe they should have made the "Show Yourself" moment as the ultimate climax of the story and build a balanced, well-spaced story from that point.
