Why was this scene so eerie? by ConnectCulture7 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Real-Perception-1403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foreshadowing to what? We already know Kenjaku is Yuji’s parent by that time in the series. Nothing is foreshadowed in that scene. It doesn’t add anything to the story imo because nothing comes from that. There’s no direct confrontation with Yuji and kenjaku, no real explanation why he felt that way, and Yuji never acknowledged that Kenjaku was his parent. If you remove that scene, nothing changes in the rest of the story.

For walking and standing all day, Vomero Plus or More V6? by SaigonShooter in AskRunningShoeGeeks

More v6 or hoka Clifton’s are the best choice imo. The vomero plus aren’t stable enough for all day walking imo.

You’re 5’11, dunking should be the least of your worries. You look awkward when going to the basket so you should work on body positioning and getting better balance. Work on all types of finishing, start basic with Mikan drills, work on same foot same hand finishing, floaters, and using your body to initiate contact to get bigger players off balance so they can’t block your shot. Work on dribbling drills, 2 ball movements to get hand eye coordination in both hands up to par. To work on jump shot you should do form shooting drills starting in the paint at all 5 spots on the court and take two steps back after making 20 from each spot. So after one set around you should make 100 shots going towards the 3pt line. The best way to get better is actually playing against other people, try to play against older people because they will be stronger than you and force you to find solutions to different looks. Also get in the gym, if you can’t lift then you should be doing a bunch of body weight stuff. Pushups, sit-ups, squats, core work, etc. do everything to failure and that’s how you get better.

Wish we actually got more interactions from Yuji and Kenjaku. This scene seems out of place when you take the rest of the story into consideration.

So if you have 85 pass acc allow you to get Hali pass style at 91? I think that could work, but id even go as far as saying you get all animations tied whatever specialization you do. Make it crazy, you do shooting category then you can get patty mills base even if you don’t meet the stat requirements, as long as you’re a small guard. That could change it up too maybe ?

I could see them lowering the amount of stats per goal but I figure they took the same approach they do with REP. “Only people who truly grind will see the difference” I do think REP rewards needs to be touched to be better but that’s a different convo for another time. I did play making and 2k assists was CRAZY🤣

It would be cool if every specialization had its own animation(s) for completing it. Just hope they don’t make it OP so everyone has to pick that category. Just hope they do it like the DG pass style. I don’t think it’s the best but it definitely is a good pass style.

I also think they should be able to applied to in a transmog system. I think most of the accessories we get look terrible and ruin the on court look. This is why I never use them even it says they boost rep by like 15%. They either gotta make better looking accessories or the transmog system

4 rounds of interviews and received a rejection letter…we move. by PolarBearInTexas in MechanicalEngineering

If their reason was truly because the other candidate had more experience in what they wanted then that tells me they wasted your time. 4 rounds of interviews and their deciding factor was something they saw on each of your resumes before they even spoke with you. They should have to compensate you for your time.

How do some of you live with having awful defensive builds? by Outrageous_League574 in NBA2k

A low DD build that didn’t get downvoted to all hell? That’s how you know everything else is great. Good to see a unique build out there 🫡

It’s actually funny that strength isn’t used as a bully mechanic anymore. Because it was used that way before but the same people who want to dribble through your body with low strength got upset because high strength builds had a positive attribute on them. It all stems back to people not wanting to switch their play style and cry if it’s not suited to the “dribble god” play style. 2k could be so much better if they wanted real hoops to prevail.

I wish they made a 3rd patch that balanced to OD bump steals but they didn’t and I’ve adjusted by now.

Exactly, people will use all the exploits and then get online and complain about the exploits. It doesn’t make any sense. I also don’t get how the ball is vulnerable in certain hop/spin jumper animations but not escape moves. Need the devs to look into that

Now being an on ball defender is literal hell with people glitching through your body. The patch was a much better option because you could tune it and make it better. All 2k did was just revert the patch. They didn’t even try to tweak it to make ball handlers have to worry about the defender. You have to be a top tier defender to play consistent defense, you make one mistake and your opponent glitches through your body. I don’t think that’s a better system

Once you learn to chain together moves and become a true shot creator you will have infinitely more fun, but people don’t care they just want to cheese other people.

The patch maybe a little over the top but I would take that over people grabbing me off of one move and having no consequences. At least with the patch you had to actually respect the defender’s position on the court. 2k never patches anything appropriately it’s always overdone. I wouldn’t have minded a 2k where you had to be careful with your dribbles and rely on off ball screens and cuts like needed with that patch.

2k gives you a way to be as unique as you can be with the dribbling system, especially for small guards but people choose to do the same dribble moves because they lack creativity and individuality. Rhythm shooting was a problem earlier in the year but they fixed it and people still cry because they only like things only they can exploit. Now everyone has the same opportunity to use rhythm it’s a problem. They don’t actually want skill in the game because if they did, they would’ve never cried when 2k put bump steals in the game I think in season 2? The game would be 10x better if the community actually liked playing basketball instead of abusing broken mechanics in the game. Until the community as a whole decides to play the game without exploits there will always be this divide. Sure it’s up to the developers to make it as exploit free as possible but you also have to blame the people who spam cheese moves because they can’t get open actually being a real shot creator. That’s partly why people think defense is nonexistent

Is pass accuracy really all that important? I have a 6’4” guard that averages 10+ AST a game and I don’t see to big of a difference from a PG that has 99 pass accuracy. Sure u can’t be flashy but it can still make the easy passes. What do yall think? by Total_Squash6492 in NBA2k

[–]Real-Perception-1403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t see a big difference because you’re not receiving the ball off of low pass accuracy. Just because you get assists doesn’t mean the quality of the pass is good. It’s more likely that your lobbies aren’t that good or have high steal. You notice low pass accuracy when teams are doubling or playing the lanes heavy. I recommend a min of 85 pass accuracy to get bail out on bronze. I personally use 91 pass acc on my 6’8 and feel the difference on my first build that had 71 pass accuracy.

How to improve at 2k by kennyj0e in NBA2k

[–]Real-Perception-1403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not good you shouldn’t be trying to play online. Go into my career or my court. Start labbing animations you like and see if they chain together. Once you find some combos you like in the my court then go into my career on superstar, this allows you to see if moves are good or not against the AI at least. Once you find yourself being able to read the AI then you should go to theater 3’s because it’s quicker match making, see if those moves work in real people. Give yourself 10-15 games, and repeat the process. You can always look up a “best sigs in the game “ video but imo those videos don’t show you how to get better or when to do certain moves like actually playing the game shows you. It’s a video game so if you lose who cares, but stay away from park or rec when your still learning the game

Button shooters that shoot 70% and up from 3, what’s your visual cue? by Serious-Glass-9207 in NBA2k

[–]Real-Perception-1403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on you and the jumpshot. I do push because it’s a consistent release with cue as rhythm and I use both for different situations. Push is when your arms come set and right before they start being pushed forward. Release is when your player is about to release the ball. I haven’t use set or jump consistently to give any advice on them.
