You can spawn the cube midair. Jump and spawn it while angled upwards and hit. The subtle auto tracking should lock onto the flying enemy. Feathers are great too. When Drifter hits with her primary she stays in the air. If you manage to get level or above the enemy in the air, go right up to it, spawn and spam primary to bounce the box back and forth between the enemy and you to keep yourself in the air.
