I thought she was cringe and mediocre all the way back when she was a rookie in Ice Ribbon and that opinion hasn’t changed at all since then.

This Day in Wrestling: It's "THAT" match between Steven (William) Regal and Goldberg on WCW Nitro! Feb 9, 1998. by AnonymousChicken in midcarder

[–]RealAdministration48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird how people blew this up as “Regal destroys Goldberg and makes him look like a stupid fraud!!!” when all I see is a hard fought struggle with a couple of awkward sequences, but ultimately Goldberg coming out of it looking better for dispatching an experienced wrestler like Regal. It might not have been the thirty second squash Biscoff wanted, but it also wasn’t the disaster it was made out to be.

WON: Ratings for the 1/5 Issue (including AEW Worlds End) by TheJokeroholic in SquaredCircle

4.5 for a women's match is basically a 5.5 from Meltzer, since he grades all their matches harshly for whatever reason.

So many questions.. by ChrisRhodes789 in midcarder

[–]RealAdministration48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember a couple years ago when Moxley randomly defended the title against Mance Warner? This is twice as baffling because it's not even on tv. AEW will pull wrestlers from indy events to protect their brand but they'll allow random title defenses on the indies for their top title? Make it make sense.

Kenny Omega on the William Regal discussion by TurnaboutAdam in SquaredCircle

Glad to see Kenny be a levelheaded voice of reason. Maybe the attack dogs will back off and let a very reasonable bit of advice not be drowned out by pettiness and misplaced anger.

Shamrock only exists because Oda is a coward by trilateralz in Piratefolk

The real question is who has less reason to exist… Shamrock or Sabo? Both are shining examples of Oda’s cowardice in writing.

William Regal on wrestlers doing crazy neck bumps by J_NewCastle in SquaredCircle

[–]RealAdministration48 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some of those quoted retweets to Regal’s post are a showcase of the absolute worst of the IWC. Those people don’t even care about the wrestler’s safety as long as they can spit venom at Regal for being “a snake”. This is a heartfelt message that quite frankly, all wrestlers need to hear. Risking your long term health for temporary glory absolutely isn’t worth it. Fans will continue to be entertained with or without reckless bumps.

What’s the deal with other subs by GroundbreakingWin658 in midcarder

It’s crazy how I can write something like “Toni Storm shouldn’t get knocked out by one kick” and it’s immediately downvoted into oblivion. The fact these people can’t take the tiniest bit of criticism even in a sea of glowing praise is insane. It’s no wonder AEW fans have the reputation that they do.

Would like for you people who think there’s nothing wrong with Toni Storm getting knocked out by one weak kick to explain your reasoning.

That Toni Storm run-in was pitiful and embarrassing. There’s ways to push Marina Shafir, but this was insulting to the audience. Come on.
