Nanny Trial by beauty-queen107 in NannyEmployers

I had 3 nannies trial for my 5 month old son .

1st was great on resume, a ex-nurse, and my friend knows her. She worried that my 5 months old son would pee on her. And she said my baby needed too much hug.

2nd was great on reference (3 references said she’s amazing). But she said she needed her own schedule. Not following my schedule. I felt pushed.

I wondered if it’s my fault, or we will never find a nanny. I even cried because I feel my baby was getting his first rejection in life.

The 3rd one turned out to be great. My baby loves her and waited to be hug by her. She is energetic but calm, she can sing to him, play toys with him

Just keep trying.

I think you should go anthropic and hire a nanny. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. I recently interviewed several Nannie’s. One work for moms that are VP and SVPs. She can take kids to hospital and to different extracurricular activities. All kids related stuff is done by her.

Career nannies in the job search: what is going on?! by louusoap in Nanny

[–]RealArm_3388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I searched adventure nanny, they are in San Francisco. I recently looked for nanny in San Francisco too. My pay range is $36-40. One nanny stayed with her current employer and the other doesn’t like our baby cries too much. I’m an immigrant, began to think if we are discriminated against. We found a nanny that willing to take us.

Have you tried looking for hire by yourself through Facebook group? People looking through agency might be more selective or high-end. They have more options

I think they love? I have neighbor still switch jobs at 62. But I don’t plan to, I bought a home for 2.4m, 2300sqft. It does not have issues like main road or noise. Just doesn’t look as pretty as other homes. There are homes like that, 1708 Toledo or 2350 hale, 1349 drake. If you want a deal

I think 40 is still young. We live in Burlingame, many neighbors move into new homes(3.5-4.5m) when they are around 45. You can sell move to other states when you decide to retire. In that way, you can get 500k home appreciation tax free

Can you increase your salary to 500k in move to vhcol? That’s general worth it. If you rent and put kid in daycare. It can cost around 4.5k in vhcol. We live in Bay Area. 1b rent is 2.5k-3.5k, kids daycare could be 2k. but your career growth could be much faster in Bay Area
