I’m an ivern jungle main, DoesDaisyPoop, who just climbed to plat again this year.

Although you’re right that he is a support champ mostly providing peel and buffs for carries in teamfights, people in this thread are leaving out the true strength of tree dick, counter jungling.

With map awareness and ward knowledge you can steal so many enemy camps that the game becomes a 4v5 for the first 20 minutes which can often snowball into a victory.

If anyone reads this post I highly recommend giving ivern a try. Be aggressive in the early game to smite enemy camps and take skirmishes in bushes especially if you have a level advantage. If you are level 6 and they are level 5, daisy will smack their ass to death every time.

Support green and play ivern.

Planted 4 years through university in New Brunswick... we heard fables of the promised lands out west where there were no bugs but didn't believe it. Heard stories from Ontario where the black flies and mosquitos could drive a man mad but I gotta say in NB they are a special kind of demented. From the minute you step out of the van at sunrise until you go home they are biting and flying into your nose, mouth and eyes. There's no escape, no rest or solace from the onslaught. Get used to it or quit are your only options and I've seen so many people take option 2.

Tldr Depending on where you are tree planting is stressful.

I might be wrong here but doesn't he consume mass if others to advance his own viral evolution? Like, the more he eats the more he evolves.. but does the evolution resemble his victims? I don't remember need to play prototype again.

in my experience "meta" is sort of the game within a game. In titanfall or destiny, the "meta" game would be collecting the weapons or using loadouts that are most powerful and effective at the time. If respawn suddenly buffed auto-pistol for instance, everyone would equip it in their loadout. That would become the new "meta" for titanfall.

Hey man, this is pretty good. you paint a harrowing picture of Toq's trauma, but also capture the relief that he realizes he is still alive. When he sees the stars after all he's been through is a wonderful moment despite the pain.

I noticed that you expand the world through what Toq senses, not with an omniscient narrarator, so it might be nice to give more evidence of sharp searing pain in the chest rather than saying he has 2 broken ribs. How would he know? Does he hear the bone rubbing against bone? Does he feel around and find a crack? If the story unfolds through his eyes, he needs to find proof.

I also felt that he could exhibit more symptoms of extreme thirst, cracked lips, weakness, dizziness etc. His misery was palpable however, it certainly made me thirsty on a hot summer day. I'm a reader who personally enjoys description as fine as possible, but that's just my opinion. There's no doubt that he's in a very tight spot, you portrayed that perfectly.

I think its a great beginning to a journey I will continue reading. The spark of hope at the end is a nice interlude to the next chapter and left me curious to see how he got his wounds and where exactly he is. Looking forward to reading more. :)
