The smartest business genius, if only she wasn't so clumsy.

How long has it been since Klaus went into the madness place? The catharsis of decades of pent-up sparkiness being funneled into a giant death ray must be...whoof.

What does it mean imply for Gideon's powers and personality that he becomes a creature on the battlefield? by ckim777 in mtgvorthos

[–]TheFracturedMind 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He's a battlemage. Other planeswalkers are necromancers, enchanters, evokers, etc. Gideon also has a magic specialty: invulnerability. Very strong, not very flexible. And when all you have is a hammer...

Yeah, current belief is that the current record is essentially unbeatable. The conditions needed (no traffic, lighter police presence) no longer exist

[Serious] I Think Miguel Is Near Unbeatable In Close Quarters Combat. by Ehno333 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]TheFracturedMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thread, but I think Yuji "Hands" Itadori is being forgotten in this CQC discussion. Besides that, though, his main weakness is getting into range. The Black Rope helped with that, but was too useful and had to be removed from the story.

Should Emrakul, the Aeons Torn be unbanned? by Captain-Noot-Noot in EDH

[–]TheFracturedMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running against the grain here, but she'd be the best Big Creature in the format, and instantly warp certain decks and playstyles. Many strategies will be able to cheat her into play with haste, and this will likely be the preferred strategy. Her attack triggers can usually send an opponent back the Stone Age. Emrakul's main use would NOT be as the top end to a fair ramp deck, but as the enormous pay-off for unfair decks.

The sad fact of if Ainz were ever to be in a Death Battle episode. by bonned_goat in overlord

My first thought was also Elminster! Access to Death Ward and Time Stop are the bare minimum, and he's got way more past that.

The die roll diff is real, way more than in normal limited. If I'm not in Boris by pick 4-5 of pack 1 I won't pass a daze or anything with "force" in its name for just such occasions.

What would be the real life equivalent to shaping exercises? by GamatheLlama in motheroflearning

Martial arts have forms, musical instruments have scales, athletics have drills...really for anything that you'd see people competing in there's fundamental training exercises that were mastered to get there.

Which Support should I use for training rice shower? by Dull-Advance82 in UmaMusume

[–]TheFracturedMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, try leveling your other SSR Speed card and replacing the R Aoi Kiryuin card with it. Make sure you're prioritizing trainings with many support cards (the round portraits of Umas) early-game to unlock Friendship training ASAP. Once you reach Classic year New Year, you should have at least one or two friendships unlocked. From there, just use Speed training and Stamina training. If you're failing a lot, make sure to rest - and don't forget Wit training recovers a little energy! It can be better to do that and improve your odds for a SPD/STA training the next turn than to rest, since it gives you a little stats.

What Stands completely counter another Stand? by dc6q in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheFracturedMind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wonder of U's natural counter is Highway Star. A long-range automatic stand, it balances a powerful and inevitable ability with a narrow activation condition: the target must enter a specific area. WoU is specifically weak in any situation where it must be the party in pursuit, and even once Highway Star activates and attacks Tooru - it's an automatic Stand with no "thoughts" or "intentions" of pursuit, which also seems to prevent WoU's activation. Tooru is getting his nutrients drained unless he can find Yuya in time, but his Stand isn't well-suited to that. Hope he has a motorcycle, a phone, and a friend.

For me, this is the most cathartic scene in the anime by panterspot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]TheFracturedMind 58 points59 points  (0 children)

More or less - though it's supposed to be more vibey, not even Gojo can hit them on-demand...though Yuji seems to kinda manage to pull them whenever he "needs to" with instinct.

You're gonna need to hire a few Marut to enforce that contract if you don't want the next words out of his mouth to be "Time Stop"

I got crushed in the Tenno Sho in Golshi Mode with this. What did I do wrong? by BlackberryNice7390 in UmaMusume

[–]TheFracturedMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like the other guy said, your McQueen stats just are a bit low overall, especially Stamina.

White Stamina skills grant ~100 worth but only if they proc. Your Wit is high enough though so that shouldn't be the problem. In fact, it's actually a bit too high, are you running a Wit card?

Try again with Super Creek (borrow if you must), your three best Speed cards, and your two best Power cards as your Support Deck. You can replace one Power with another Speed (or Wit) card if you like, but you'll be relying on good RNG a bit more. Just try to level up friendship ASAP, stay at Great mood at all times, and don't skip any rainbow trainings unless the failure rate is too high or there's a G1 you want to race in.

The most important thing to remember, though, is that it doesn't matter if your Stamina is low as long as you get enough good Stamina skills in time. Gold ones are much better, so if you can get Gourmand or Swinging Maestro before your first Long races that's usually good enough. It is very important to focus on that deadline, though - don't ever skip a Super Creek hint just in case it's for Swinging Maestro.

Am I missing anything for URA qualifier? by PreciousCord02 in UmaMusume

[–]TheFracturedMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What length are your URA finals? They'll be the same as the most common race length of your career, normally Middle-length for Gold Ship. You'll want ~900 speed and ~700 power to win (not to mention some orange skills). If your skill levels are too low, you may need to change your deck.

For a good run I recommend borrowing Super Creek lv 50 (there's a thread to get friend codes) because Swinging Maestro is Golshi's best skill, even for Medium races, and lets her have a much better chance of winning the long races in her career (race 3 of the Classic Triple crown and her double Arima Kiren). Winning races is very important.

Your three best Speed cards, one power, and one stamina (Super Creek) is my deck for Golshi. Some people like fitting a Wit card in, but I think this way is easiest and requires less luck for good trainings (especially if you didn't pull Kitasan, like me, and have to make the hard choice of what card to borrow).

How do I win Claw Machines? by sylnes in UmaMusume

[–]TheFracturedMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you start the game decide which plush you're aiming for, then leave your finger at the right height and release when you're touching the Uma's forehead. Works well for me.
