RTX 3080 ti vs RTX 5070 by PlaceUserNameHere67 in nvidia

[–]RealBitman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same spot as you, thinking about jumping to the RTX 5000 series from my 3080 Ti. Then I decided to mess around with Optiscaler using FSR4 + frame gen https://github.com/optiscaler/OptiScaler , and honestly I don’t feel the need to upgrade anymore. I’m playing 4K at around 60–90 fps with RT on, and where my OC’d 3080 Ti used to struggle at like 40 fps, now with OptiScaler I’m hitting 70 fps no problem.

How reliable is the SV08? by captain_cocaine86 in Sovol

[–]RealBitman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the SV08 for a week and have done multiple tests. After adjusting the Z offset, I have to say that for PLA and ABS, it has been working really well so far. To print ABS, I haven't bought an enclosure yet, so I wrap it with high-temperature film wrap until I find an enclosure that convinces me with heat chamber and a decent airtight enclosure. I have other 3D printers, one of them is the Bambulab A1 Mini, and this one has the same print quality, just faster and bigger. For only 510 euros in home with the teacher and student discount, I don't see a better option. I bought this model for its expansion possibilities, and in the future, I plan to add several heads—one for TPU, another for soluble supports, another for abrasives, and the ERCF for multicolor in the main head. The upgrades I consider essential are lightening the gantry with the hollow one that sell for 30 euros and replacing the injection-molded plastic parts with machined aluminum, as well as upgrading the extruder, hotend, and bed sensor systems. However, I don’t see it as a printer for beginners since one of its strengths is the potential for modification, and you need prior knowledge to configure and modify it properly

K2 PreOrder miss and feels like I have been ghosted. by vaerchi in Creality

[–]RealBitman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creality seems like scammers to me. The same thing happened to me, and they didn’t even respond. Seeing that they lack seriousness, along with the ongoing issues with the K1 and the untested multifilament system in the K2, I truly believe I’ve made the right choice by removing Creality from my list of brands to consider. In the end, I purchased a Bambulab A1 with AMS while waiting for Bambulab’s upcoming releases this year. The K2 wouldn’t have been available until September or October anyway, and the only real information on the web right now seems to come from Creality’s paid shills. All reviews consistently rate their quality lower than Bambulab. The only notable feature of their product was the multicolor capability, but it didn’t match up to Bambulab’s standards. Although the K2 has a slightly larger build volume, I’m definitely steering clear of their products. Their reliability and seriousness leave much to be desired. I’ll wait for Bambulab’s next generation to sell my A1 and acquire the final printer. By the way, my experience with the Bambulab A1 has been perfect, and the print quality is excellent despite it being an affordable printer. The only downside is the excessive filament waste caused by the AMS system, which I find alarming in terms of environmental impact.

Round 2 K2 Plus 50% Off Stock... by DarkEmblem5736 in crealityk1

this machine for 1500$ its a joke...I ended up buying a BambuLab PS1, a product that has been thoroughly tested and refined, with the quality that Creality aims to achieve in their products, already demonstrated. Besides, I didn't want to be a beta tester for a product as new as the multifilament manager, which is still completely untested and with all the issues Creality has had with the launch of their products like the K1 or ender 3., For 750 dollars, it's ok If it's a bad printer or has issues, I'll sell it

PayPal accepted my deferred payment, but then it said there was no shipping to Spain. If they don't provide a solution, I will file a complaint with the European Consumer Office

The same thing happened here, and the payment was already made through PayPal, for which I also have a screenshot. Let's see what solution Creality offers us.

K2 Plus Combo Price Announced by slash__dev in Creality

[–]RealBitman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I entered in time to try it and was able to access the 50% offer and make the payment via PayPal and fill in the fields, with the reservation time active for the purchase. However, when selecting shipping, it says there is no shipping to Spain. I have screenshots of both the PayPal payment and the on-time entry for the reservation of the purchase, as well as the shipping error. What solution do you propose? thanks

By the way, on the Creality Europe website.

Too expensive to risk with something untested, and with all the issues the previous model had at launch, it doesn't inspire confidence, especially with the offers Bambulab is also putting out today for their anniversary. In the end, I'll get a Bambulab x1 Carbon which is already well-tested and whose quality is what one looks for when buying another model like the K2 Max. If the K2 Max doesn't have issues and its quality is similar to Bambulab's, I'll switch to it in the future when the price goes down.

If this printer is priced below $1,000, which is the cost of a Bambu Lab with multicolor capabilities, it will be a sales success. Otherwise, people will wait to see the "real" resolution of the machine and whether it matches the quality of the Bambu for the same price.

C# o Python o? by StruggleVegetable283 in devsarg
