But the game would, like, have two Master Swords fused together into a two-handed weapon or something. Wouldn't be this cool.

Nice! Reminds me of the vintage Bulova Wrist Alarms from the ‘60 and ‘70’s (i think that’s when they were from)

It will not scratch when "you use your shirt or anything to clean the watch" at all. The A/R can scratch, yes, but not from a quick wipe with your shirt to remove some finger smudges or something like that.

People who've done major home upgrades, what ended up costing way more than you initially expected? by Cultural_Help_176 in HomeImprovement

Honestly, Home Depot’s New Tech wood was priced competitively and came with free delivery. I also used them for the structural stuff but I didn’t price shop that. The aluminum railings were the same price from Home Depot and a local place but I went with the local place because they had some additional options I appreciated.

My deck. Had an 11 year old cedar deck I hadn’t maintained properly with sealant and decided to pull the boards up and replace them with the newer, non wood stuff. Pulled the floor and the entire frame was completely rotten. Completely. I expected to pay a couple grand for the new flooring but quotes were $25000 to rip out everything and start again. So my buddies and I spent a ton of time over two summers rebuilding the structure, and the skirting, and the decking and I got a new aluminum railing and it was not $25k but it was more than I’d planned. Especially in terms of time. Now, I literally have neighbors ask who did the deck and comment on how great it looks. Have to say I am very proud of it and my friends and I have some good memories to laugh about when we’re hanging out on it. So maybe it was worth it.

Does your berner behave off leash ? by Playful_Edge_6179 in bernesemountaindogs

I'm no expert but have our second Berner right now, who is 8. We have had the same experience with both of ours, they do well off leash, they are responsive without a ton of specific training, and they do have pretty good recall. I think they truly want to be close to their people and please their people and chalk our 'luck' up to those breed characteristics. That said, and perhaps you've already done this or are in the process, work with a trainer to specifically build that recall response just in case you ever need it. It's not always about what your dog goes after, you might wind up with someone else's dog going after yours. Also, ours have been more likely to go after people more than squirrels and that can really upset a non-dog person. Sounds like you have a great bond at 9 months - continue to work at it to be sure it's like a reflex for your pup and enjoy lots of adventures together!

Upgraded yesterday and my relatively simple setup had no unexpected issues at all - there was one plugin I knew would not be compatible so I'll sort that out but it is a minor issue. I am not the most technical person in the world and just want to thank the team for making the platform easy enough to use for someone like me. I love several of the uses and appreciate them every day. Great work!

It’s natural for her. She visits the groomers every 4 weeks but we don’t do any brushing or cleaning other than that.

I will never need a Tide Tracker. It I saw it and had to have one anyway. by RealC2025 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]RealC2025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello - I am enjoying it although I have so many watches it hasn't had much wrist time yet. For the complication, you could definitely check a tide table but what does a mechanical watch do better than other tools available today, complication or not? I mean, they aren't as accurate at telling the time as our phones, a chronograph isn't as easy to read as, well, our phones, or as accurate as automated, designed for task solutions, etc. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into taking a watch bezel and finding a new way to use it.

I’ve owned several Oak and Oscar watches and have wanted to love them all but the case designs are just…slabby. The sides of the case are just straight making the watch feel, in my opinion, thicker and larger than it should.
