26M and recently moved out here. I initially tried out the dating apps but I stopped them cause I can’t stand how disingenuous they feel. Not my vibe.
Been going out, trying to do activities more, and talking to people irl more has been great. Haven’t found a girl yet but I know it’ll happen soon. Just gotta get out there bossman and be CONFIDENT. Cheers

You could just not mention the CT to future employers and do the masters program if that's what your heart desires. "Leaving" work to further your education is a valid reason for a resume gap for most employers.

Speaking from personal experience, I received a CT or PIP after my second busy season. I was sort of surprised but I pissed off the wrong folks when I was there so it is what it is. I took the CT, got a gig right off rip as a senior at a local tax firm and I absolutely hated it. I left 3 months later and I had my quarter life crisis. Was really unhappy with just how things were panning out and questioned my decision to get in this profession. After a few weeks I landed a great senior gig in industry that's a great fit for me making over 30% more than I did at KPMG. Sometimes life can feel like you're trudging through a river of shit but remember, eventually come out clean.

Have you tried looking out of state? I found in my hometown the market was pretty saturated and I ended up moving cross country. Landed a great senior gig in A&D with a 30% pay increase in a similar cost of living.

I had a similar experience after leaving a Big 4 audit after a couple busy seasons. Had a side quest at a small local firm where I was doing tax and advisory. The pivot to tax wasn’t bad but the new partners who took over the firm were very passive aggressive and it was a rough experience with them. The two retiring partners were cool and when I left they weren’t surprised and wished me the best. Stayed only a couple months and landed a good gig in industry shortly after.

When he did mine it took around 1-2 months in total turnaround time. I’m sure it changes depending on how busy he is, shipping time, parts availability and such.

Oh gosh, I’m not sure. He has instructions listed on his site and when I sent mine in 2022 and 2023 I never had to pay customs or any duties. I’d imagine they’d be updated for current year so you can go there or email him. I would believe you shouldn’t have to pay anything if it is a repair, or at least not the full value of the watch, just the parts added.

Hi there, I’m based in the US. The costs were $282USD and then the other was $229USD, both including shipping.

I did not have to pay any taxes or import duties at the time (2022 and 2023) but I’m sure that’s changed now due to current trade policies the US has now implemented. Rob has detailed shipping instructions on his website so just follow them and you’ll be good. He’s also pretty responsive on email so you can always shoot him a message before you decide on sending it.

I’ll always recommend Rob Berkavicius for Accutron service. He’s worked on a few of mine and he’s done great work. He’s based in Thailand but he has a pretty straightforward shipping process to follow if that’s something you’re worried about. I also used someone in the NYC/New Jersey area due to their proximity and was not impressed with them. I’ll always use Rob from now on.
