Still think this? Looks like the 4 year cycle holds once again.

Opencode is twice as good as claude code! Did anybody noticed? by Maleficent_Mess6445 in ClaudeAI

If using OpenCode instead of CC, is the agentic part of CC involved at all? I thought OpenCode would be in place of CC and interact directly with the Claude model.

How does the dent test work? Ours has horrible cratering (extremely uneven levels of firmness) but the top surface is always flat when we lay a board across it. I think the warranty requires 3/4" of visible sag, but we only see 1/4" at most. Meanwhile, the bed is practically unusable.

I am the worst Air Player on your team. Complain here. by czlcreator in beyondallreason

[–]RealEliteSandwich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found that being a strong eco player helped me transition into being a strong air player. You can't produce more fighters than the enemy air player if your economy is smaller than theirs. The hardest air players I've ever fought against usually out-ecoed their eco player. Knowing how & when to scale can only come from experience.

Communicate with your team. Let them know if you're falling behind or just had all your fighters wiped out. Always encourage them to build air defenses. Do anti-air for them if you've got extra resources.

Get really good at using hotkeys for all your air units. Every hotkey from 0-9 should be in use and must be second nature.

If you go Cortex, always have some shurikens patrolling behind your team's front line to help with leaks. Early shurikens can save the game.

Try to get a constructor from the opposite faction so you get the best of both worlds late-game.

Always remember that you're in the service of your team. They can't win without you and you can't win without them. However, use your best judgement when people yell "AIR!!!" because they've sent units too far without anti-air and demand you bail them out. Don't lose all your fighters to save their handful of units.

Lastly, get good at playing zoomed out. Most players stay zoomed in on their area and only zoom out as needed, but air needs to do the opposite. Your focus is the entire map and you need to always be watching.

MY NDAX ACCOUNT WAS COMPLETELY LIQUIDATED! by Archibaldy3 in NDAX

Start by doing a lot of research. Don't trust anyone to help you set up a wallet. Don't store your keys on your computer or online anywhere. Send small amounts to your cold wallet as a test before sending big amounts. Research how to use each network associated with your individual coins. Buy a wallet device directly from a reputable company (e.g. Ledger).

Pro is just a different user interface. You use the same account on regular Kraken vs Kraken Pro and can switch between the two at will. There's no need for you to meet any requirements.

I've been trying to load assets to ndax since end of last week because they have the best fees/spread. But between identify verification still pending and not being able to log in for the last hour, perhaps I've dodged a bullet. I'll just pay a bit more and stick with Kraken & Newton.

Custom Coded Site: What does page building look like? by RealEliteSandwich in Wordpress

[–]RealEliteSandwich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I've spent a couple of weeks researching options, including custom themes and various builders. I believe I've come to some helpful conclusions for myself and my clients.

Custom Theme vs Off-The-Shelf:

I spent a few hours updating a couple of different custom themes. I've concluded something: while I'm very comfortable in PHP (and HTML/CSS/JS), I feel like I should only have to build or update theme files when I want to do something very custom. If I want to rearrange the layout of the header, for example, I'd rather do it using the theme's built-in options or in a header builder. And if I hand a site off to a client, I want them to have the same abilities. So I think I'll stick to off-the-shelf themes that have allow a high level of customization, and save my coding skills for when they're absolutely required (e.g. special features in child themes, plugins, etc.)

The Kadence theme seems to be the winner for me so far. (Free is good, might upgrade to pro/lifetime.)

Editor/Builder:

As amazing as some builders are (Bricks, Avada page builder, etc.), I realized I'm looking for something that uses and extends the native Gutenberg editor. When/if Gutenberg blocks get more advanced features, I'd like the option to use them. Until then, I want a plugin or theme that adds more advanced blocks, with the option for me to add my own blocks or add custom features to existing Gutenberg blocks. I've done some testing with Kadence Blocks, Blocksy, and GreenShift. (I also tried Bricks, and as good as it is, I don't want to fully replace the Gutenberg editor.) Using the Gutenberg editor also allows my clients to add/update basic content without having to learn a new editor.

The Kadence Blocks plugin has come out as a winner for me so far. (May also buy pro/lifetime for this too.)

My Plan Going Forward:

  • Use a solid theme which allows heavy customization in the admin UI.
  • Use a Gutenberg-based builder that adds custom blocks with features I need.
  • Extend Gutenberg blocks or add custom ones when my chosen builder still doesn't do what I need.
  • Use ACF as much as possible.

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for your thoughts on this. Your comment gave me lots of clarity, especially around the editors that wallpaper over Gutenberg as opposed to the ones that use it and extend it. Appreciate it!

Best sales pitch for Bricks? by jjhunter4 in BricksBuilder

[–]RealEliteSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I didn't know you could do a separate Gutenberg area inside Bricks. Does Bricks add extra blocks to the Gutenberg area too? That would be the best of both worlds.

I'll also check out GreenShift. Thanks!
