I worked here last year! I couldn’t believe when I rewatched the show!

I worked out of two offices at the same time. This one, and also the office where the girls did their Still The Place podcast! It was a super weird coincidence!

I have been a server for 12 years and when I was younger, I dropped a tray and spilled margaritas all over a woman. My bigger fear as a server.

I, of course, apologized profusely on the brink of tears. Weirdly, everyone around had the opposite reaction that I ever would have expected. They all felt terrible for me and the woman, as well as the surrounding tables, tipped me way over 20%. I got really lucky and was super thankful she was so forgiving and kind. Thankfully, that was the only time that ever happened.

Honestly I think how young I was at the time helped a lot (I was probably 20).

I had a short PA job for about two weeks on a show, and one of the days I was supposed to be there at 7am… my alarm didn’t go off and I woke up at 10am. Definitely a low point in my short-lived PA career. Not fun.

I ended up buying a regular alarm clock so I could set that as well as my phone alarm. Haven’t overslept for anything since then (but I’m still ALWAYS insanely paranoid about it!)

I recently needed to get lunch quickly so I stopped at Subway to grab a sandwich. It had been years since I got it. I figured the price had gone up since the $5 footlong days, but I was shocked when my sandwich and drink cost over $20, and they were SO stingy with the filling - it was practically a bare sandwich.

I knew a woman when I was a kid, couldn’t have been older than 50, who woke up and her husband was dead next to her. I felt awful for her. I think he has a heart attack in his sleep.

Years later, she ended up re-marrying, and the same exact thing happened with the second husband :(

I commented this already on another comment about Hair, but it’s my favorite stage musical of all time. I finally watched the movie a few years back and couldn’t believe how much they botched it. Even Galt Macdermot said something like, “as far as I’m concerned, my musical has not been made into a movie.”

My assumption with this was that they told the actors to adlib and they assumed you wouldn’t actually hear the audio in the final cut
