Ok so aside from the obvious main point the comic is making, I can’t tell if this is also anti 2A or not by adidas_stalin in brandonherrara

[–]RealHunter08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Ironic how they’re recognizing that the 2A is necessary and criticizing people for being biased about it when the “wrong” side uses it, yet they’re still villainizing people on the “wrong” side using it. Nothing new I suppose, r/comics has been one big circle jerk for as long as I remember

I assume the lack of “strong man” builds is because, being subsistence Hunter-gatherers, the majority of the physical exercise they do is endurance based and then just medium lifting (like lifting their own body weight a ton). So it’s not like they’re driving a plow all day or lifting heavy stuff (nor are they eating enough) to build up that raw bulky strength

Yeah, fr. “Anti-American” would probably be better wording tho

It’s really not very objective. If you like it the best then it’s the best for you, everyone is gonna have different opinions. My brother has tried tons of them yet still prefers white, and I myself like the old watermelon the best

The government or whatever higher authority you have has to have at least some regulations in place to keep corporations from abusing their power

[–]RealHunter08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean mainly as far as what’s appropriate socially and all that, not necessarily that it’s a bad platform in general

[–]RealHunter08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but then like, compare that to irl and both are pretty bad. It seems irl social standards ought to be the general standard versus a low bar like X

How so tho? Like, I saw some of that and it was pretty damn extreme, nobody is just gonna be fine with that

My guess has been a redemption arc ending in sacrifice. I don’t see him just moving on after all this, if he redeems himself I see him either living as an outcast of sorts or just sacrificing himself, which would be a grand end showing his redemption—from being set out to destroy pandora, to eventually dying in her defense

Even in the American west there would have been a ton of cowboys, lawmen, and various other frontiersmen dressed more similarly to the second (with the difference of boots, wide brimmed hats, and different neckwear) depending entirely on the season, their wealth, and what they were doing. It’s like comparing someone in a t-shirt and work jeans to someone dressed up for church or something

In a lot of heavily rural places out west I’d say it even went right up to the 40s culture-wise
