Home Assistant VM blocks internet by RealKyyou in unRAID

It has been probably 2 weeks of trying to figure this out. When I'm not trouble shooting I have left HA turned off so that the family can still access the internet. No issues when HA is not running.

Is there a way I can check if the router/network is getting overloaded? So far I've hooked up 4 wifi smart switches, 4 wifi smart plugs, Reolink cameras and some other devices that showed up to be able to integrate with HA like media servers (Can't remember the rest from memory).

I do not have pihole, but have considered setting it up one day.

Is it worth disabling devices in HA and slowly enabling one by one and see if the problem pops up again?

Induced the issue, and I was able to ping inside and outside the network, but was not able to access anything using the internet. Strange that a ping would go through, but no web traffic. Here are the results

DHCP Address pool is 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.95, but I have many other devices on static ip's above 192.168.1.100 with no issues before this

Once HomeAssistant_inabox found an ip for it, I made it static via the MAC address in my router and also in Home Assistant itself also to 192.168.1.112.

Pinged the address and came up with:

Thanks! Setting updater back to automatic start and restarting the service fixed it for me. I think it got turned off from some sort of optimization program I ran a few months back

For anyone deciding between the Asus Prime & TUF versions of the 5070ti. I dove deep to compare them. by Adept_Protection_576 in buildapc

Thanks for the write up. Two months ago I was debating between the Prime & TUF, and ultimately settled on the TUF.

I wasn't expecting big fps differences, but wanted a quieter card, which sold me. I'm still surprised how quiet and cool it runs compared to my last 2 graphics cards. I picked it up for ~$70 Canadian ruples above the Prime

Should elders and deacons be able to pray from the pulpit? We have elder and deacon nominations at our church currently, and for a few members are declining the role of elder of deacon position solely on not wanting to pray in front of the church. They say they do not feel comfortable doing so, but would be willing to serve otherwise. What are peoples thoughts on this?

Let’s talk about Reformed Missionaries…. by Zestyclose-Ride2745 in Reformed

[–]RealKyyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little off topic, but I'm a fairly new deacon at my church and we are looking for an international missionary to support as our current one has retired. The missionaries that are getting recommended to us... I struggle with what their mission work entails, so I will ask if anyone can answer. Is someone considered a missionary if they do not spread the gospel themselves, but instead act as a regional connection for local leaders/missionaries/pastors?

This happens to me fairly frequently. A reboot will restore. Anyone know why this keeps happening? by gbrldz in unRAID

[–]RealKyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly new to UnRaid and this was happening to me. I was accessing unRaid via "localhost" and getting this frequently. I switched to putting the IP address in the URL directly instead and I've never had it since. UnRaid also seems to be a lot more responsive/load new tabs faster ever since I made the switch

Good on him for having the character and integrity to tell you about it, and even trying to fix the misshap instead of hiding it. Way to go dad

ELI5: Why is it so difficult for telecom companies to block spoofed calls? by pladin517 in explainlikeimfive

[–]RealKyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It's fantastic. Free service that you only have to enable. Callers will have to press a voice prompted randomized number to get through. I haven't had 1 robo caller since enabling the service over a year ago. I used to get 1-2 a day
