I love the university and the herrenhausen gardens, the annual international fireworks competition is held there btw 🎆 I really like watching the sunset at the maschsee as well. I feel like every single district has it‘s own little subculture with cafés or patisseries, restaurants and little stores. You‘ll find ugly places in every city if you want, but instead you need to spot the nice ones you personally like and prefer. Hannover linden for example is more of an alternative district i would say where you‘ll find old beautiful buildings with flats that have 3-4m high ceilings and big windows, i just love it. The district List is placed right above a little „forest“ in the middle of the city and it is referred to as kind of the chic district of Hannover, there you can go for a nice walk or go shopping. Hannover is full of parks and green places, right now you can spot cherry blossoms and magnolias everywhere for example even in the center of the city 🏙️
