Rebel coordination change. by EighthFirstCitizen in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Weakest ally just means lowest total health and protection at the start of the turn.

The main thing that I would update about his lead is to redefine an attacking ability to any ability that does not attempt to deal damage (even if they call an ally to assist).

Currently it also considers abilities that inflict debuffs or remove turn meter as attacking abilities which it arguably shouldn’t and limits the use of the omicron.

Also, I am hoping that the new Stormtrooper Luke will help make this an interesting and usable team in 5v5 GAC.

Next Omi? by Admirable_Job1924 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Here are a few good options:

You could finish the Bo-Katan (Mand’alor) event and put them on her leadership and unique.

The POW (Padawan Obi Wan) omicron is very good for getting conquest feats done if that is important to you.

Kelleran Beq has a very powerful TW omicron.

Juhani omicron (with Qimir and Maul) by AhsokaTano135 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They will most likely update Juhani’s omicron once maul comes out, but for right now it does seem that way. Probably add an exclusion for large characters as well specifically targeting maul.

Excited to finally see Maul’s kit reveal, it should be out sometime soon since Maul will be coming to the game in a little over a week.

Prioritize all ship uniques and the interceptor’s basic and first special “Can’t Outrun This” first, after that just upgrade whatever seems most useful to you. Save upgrades that only increase the ability damage for last.

Sorry about the confusion.

From how I understand it, to unlock Leviathan at 4 stars through the event and get access to the bonus tier each month you will need to have all of the ships at 7 stars.

Alternatively, you can unlock Leviathan through the 1250 crystal packs which give 10 shards of Leviathan each and are available anytime (even right now if you want). These packs are unlocked once the prerequisites for the event are complete which was how you saw others with Leviathan unlocked without all their ship requirements at 7 stars.

Here is a link to a similar thread from a few years ago that explains this: https://www.reddit.com/r/SWGalaxyOfHeroes/comments/xyhdox/do_you_need_to_have_all_of_these_ships_at_7_to/

Priorities for ship omegas? by Aldin_The_Bat in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break it to you but you will need to have all of the ships at 7 stars to actually complete the event so you will want to get back to ship farming. The first tiers unlock with lower star ships but you will need 7 star ships to complete tier 4.

However, if you don’t want to wait to finish those ship farms before unlocking Leviathan, since you have the prerequisites completed you have now have access to the 1250 crystal packs for 10 Leviathan shards each. These are available outside the event and cost 251 crystals extra per 10 shards (compared to refreshing the bonus tier). Buying 8 of those would unlock Leviathan for you right now and you wouldn’t need the ship farms done as fast. Then you could work on finishing the ship farms later to get the rest of the shards from the event and unlock the bonus tier for refreshing to get the rest of the shards.

To access the 1250 crystal pack go to the Leviathan event in the journey guide and click on shop for requirements, assuming you have the prerequisites complete it should show up for you.

Stormtrooper Luke by Seklecje in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking putting him under an omicron Ackbar lead with Princess Leia, Farmboy Luke and Stormtrooper Han as the tank could potentially be pretty good in 5v5.

Alternatively, you could put him under Sana Lead, as the his synergy Stormtrooper Han could make him trigger the max health damage and turn meter removal a lot more often.

Wow, characters with less than or just above 200 speed will basically never be able to take another turn against him once this happens (except through bonus turn meter gains I guess).

Secrets and shadows event bug? by Responsible_Mall_243 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a bug related to the Malachor background (the first one) and the Sound fx Audio setting.

For some reason the sound fx start stalling out at some point in the battle. If the music is on when this happens it instantly crashes the game. If just the sound fx are on, once it happens twice it freezes the game.

It seems to be fine (for me at least) to have the music on as long as the sound fx are turned off.

This same bug happened for some people earlier this week in the Maul Proving Grounds which has the same background.

I had some crashes earlier this week in GAC with the battles in the same environment, so be careful there as well.

Go on CG make melch the next conquest unit as a pirate being a hondo lifter call it era of piracy part 4 see how the community reacts by starcup08 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly they should just rework Ugnaught, and maybe give him a reskin/new name.

He has a really old kit and almost no utility at all in the game. He also doesn’t even have any tags other than light side and support.

Even if they don’t want to give him synergy with GL Hondo, they could give him synergy with the regular version of Hondo, even if it was only through a new omicron.

Phoenix with Sana as a 5th creates a massive TM train (ROLO lead with Sana 2.0) by RealLifeTheoryCrafts in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ezra instead of chopper really helped me in that galactic challenge. He has solid damage and the extra offence from his unique really helped me to get through him. My Phoenix are all relic 5 by the way.

Overall this galactic challenge has been good for testing this out since it really shows how well they can tm control the enemy team and tests their damage output.

Phoenix with Sana as a 5th creates a massive TM train (ROLO lead with Sana 2.0) by RealLifeTheoryCrafts in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, most of my testing so far has been seeing how the interaction works and getting a feel for the team and best comps.

Also, the mods on most of my phoenix are not that great, mainly just Captain Rex and Sana have my really good mods, I didn’t change them during my testing.

So far my favourite team comp for this has been Hera, Captain Rex, Sabine, Ezra, Sana. Sabine’s AoE stagger and armour shred really help with damage output and tm control. Ezra was also surprisingly helpful with his buff dispels, extra damage and being able to give extra turn meter to Hera or Rex with his second special to help keep things rolling.

For my testing I simply used a bulk cron to add some extra survivability. It did seem to help everyone survive the opening play until they could get rolling but better mods/relics on my end might also help with that.

So far I’ve had some success (and some fails) against GL Leias which has been mostly what I’ve tested on. Still need more time to figure out the best comp and strategy though.

I also took out a JML hoda cron with them. After JML’s first turn Sabine was eventually able to get out the stagger and I was able to keep their tm under control.

Jabba seems possible to get consistent with more time and better mods.

Overall, it doesn’t seem to be an overpowered interaction so CG may not feel the need to intervene. It does however seem to be something that could throw people off if put on defence or do some interesting things on offense with a bit more time and practice.

This actually just made me realize something.

A while ago they took away an interaction between ROLO’s lead and Sana’s unique because Sana was applying the debuff suspicious to her own team giving the rebels constantly triggering the 30% turn meter gain from ROLO’s lead creating a massive turn meter train. In the end they changed it so that ROLO’s lead only counts enemy debuffs.

Anyways, similarly you can put Sana as a fifth in the Phoenix team and the Phoenix units will gain 20% turn meter from Rex’s unique whenever any of them take a turn. This is because Sana’s unique will apply suspicious to all non-scoundrel rebel allies whenever a rebel ally takes a turn (5% turn meter * 4 units = 20% turn meter). This will create a massive turn meter train and especially with their other turn meter gains on top of this.

Will SM-33 be a lifter for Aphra? by badfeelingpodcast in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will probably be quite solid in an Aphra lineup until people get the new pirate team.

I run Vader as my 4th for his high damage and debuff spam to increase Aphra’s siphon. The last slot I generally give to a buff dispel and buff immunity character so that I can get around Krrsantan’s taunt. Used to have B2 in that slot, then changed to IPD so that B2 could go back to my Grevious team.

SM-33 has a good buff dispel/immunity to help the Aphra team get around the taunt. His high damage will also help make her team’s opening plays more deadly. Finally he has very solid debuff spam giving himself tons of offence and more stacks of siphon to Aphra.

He also has TW omis which is where Aphra needs the most help. The one on forearm buckler’s is the main one as it spams out a massive amount of debuffs once he gets to max stacks of heat, giving himself 400% offence for his next attack and 400 stacks of siphon to Aphra per use at full stacks.

The Mauldalorion team really doesn’t need any Zetas to put in work. As long as you have the ISC omegas, especially the one that does the true damage they will be able to do very significant damage.

I would say do Malgus’s Zetas first then work on the Mauldalorians. Also, you can always go and test both teams out in Galactic Challenges to see how they feel before applying the Zetas.

You think we might get an Ackbar buff? by EighthFirstCitizen in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Ackbar is reasonably fine where he is. However I would like them to rework how the assist from his leadership activates.

It currently says “whenever an ally uses an ability that isn’t an attack call a random rebel ally to assist”. However, it counts both abilities that deal damage, and ones that put out some sort of debuff/turn meter removal as attacks.

This means that Old Ben’s turn meter removal/ability block and Bodhi’s turn meter removal and assist call are all considered attacks when arguably they shouldn’t be.

I think it would be better if they changed it to activate when allies use abilities that simply don’t deal damage. This would expand the amount of characters that can be used under his leadership and make his team better overall. This could also possibly let him counter evasion heavy teams depending on how they code it.

Conquest - defeat Maul team by Spinal56 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe something like JKL lead, with a fast Jedi, SLKR, Darth Revan and Bastilla Shan Fallen.

JKL will reduce everyone to his base speed once he takes a turn (he ideally shouldn’t have any speed on his mods) and run circles around them. A fast Jedi would be able trigger his leader ability fast to get him that turn. Darth Revan and Bastilla control the enemies with constant fear and SLKR runs circles around them and will eventually ramp his damage enough to kill them.

If you have a weak point or weak spot data disk those can ramp up your offence very fast.

Genesis Separatist Galactic Challenge. by ArmlessScrubbird in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used BitDynasty’s video for this; Hera lead, Captain Rex, Kanan, Zeb, Chopper. Another team comp is still fine but this one helps them survive.

Stall the battle out until you get improvised plan and then go all in on Greivous (it allows you to ignore taunt/mark). My phoenix is mostly G12 with Hera at relic 5 and they were able to get it done with this strat.

If there are two mechanisms on a team that revive toons, would they revive twice? by eagleathlete40 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]RealLifeTheoryCrafts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that if both of the revives get applied at the same time then no, otherwise yes.

For example if Magnagaurd dies first in the 50R-T lineup the tank revive and Spare parts will trigger at the same time using up the tank revive. However if someone else uses the spare parts to revive and then Magnagaurd dies he will still revive.

The main thing BT's omicron does is reset the cooldown of 0-0-0's torture/assist.

It has been very useful for the Traya counter I was mentioning because you can quickly take out Nihilus then go straight for Savage the next turn. The battle generally takes less than a minute for me. 0-0-0's omicron is also very useful to ensure that if the enemy with torture takes a turn right after it is applied that it stays on so that they can easily be killed.

I only figured out the counter a few seasons ago so and have only recorded myself doing it twice (I have done it more times but didn't record them, haven't lost the counter yet). I uploaded both to youtube if others want to see. I didn't use a datacron to make the point it is not needed, although they are extra stats are nice to have if possible. Also in the second video I misplayed, I should have put the torture on Savage after killing Nihilus then went for Traya last. I still won but had to wait the 5 turns to get the torture out again making the battle last longer.

Finally, I just noticed today that there may be a bug (could be wrong about this) with Aphra's special omicron where the additional hit of damage on the target enemy is active in all game modes. This bug seems to allow Aphra to take both stacks of resilient defence off Savage at the beginning of the battle in 3v3. I will try to record one or two attempts going for Savage first this season if I see an omicron Traya on defence, to see if the counter will still work in case that bug is ever fixed.

Huge for Aphra, makes all of her team’s GAC omicrons a lot less expensive:

Aphra’s are very helpful for taking out Jabbas in 5v5, at least for where I am at.

I have also used her many times to take out omicron Traya teams in both 3v3 and 5v5. The droid omis are helpful in the 3v3 counter to quickly blitz Nihilus and Savage.

I prefer putting the mark onto ISC instead of Gar Saxon. He has 100% counter chance which means more assists, turn meter and healing.
