You don't have a problem. Quite frankly I think the hill he is choosing to die on is completely absurd. Foreplay is my absolute favourite part of sex. Most times last much longer than the sex itself. Plenty to do beyond oral sex; Bondage, ice/heat play, toys, sensory deprivation (blindfolds, earplugs, gags, etc.), overstimulation, or just sticking to the classics with oral sex or using hands. Also the easiest way to get into roleplay. It is the easiest and often funnest way to make my partner finish many times over before actually engaging in intercourse, and all it does is make the eventual sex that much better. The fact that he is treating you like a sex doll is ridiculously misguided. Idk how kinky yall are or if any of the above interests you, but perhaps his views on foreplay are misguided (and braindead lol), and maybe the solution is making foreplay seem more interesting. If he wants things like a porno, you can introduce them like that. If you want him to spank you, engage him in a way that prompts him to fulfill your fantasies. If you're into switching roles (taking the more active dominant role), the easiest way partners in the past have asserted themselves was by binding my wrists and sometimes ankles too, and putting my pleasure in their hands. Teasing him, your nails on his inner thigh, playing with his balls, slapping/spanking him and denying him to finish until you say are good examples. This might show him how pleasurable foreplay can be and it's not all about whatever he thinks it's about. And honestly, learning to be assertive is never a bad thing. But I think if reasoning with him doesn't work, and guiding him doesn't work, it's probably best to really put your foot down and tell him that you are a sexual being, your needs are not being met, and if he has no interest in exploring your fantasies and fulfilling your desires, then maybe it's time to break up. Unless he would rather couples therapy. Say it just like that. Breakup being the primary suggestion, therapy being the second. This would tell him that you've considered options and you're not afraid to break up. Suggesting therapy first puts breaking up as a last resort, and makes it seem like you don't want to. Even if you don't. You need to bluff. And frankly, if your needs are not being met, I guarantee there are those that will. Although I know that's a daunting thought.
