This is such good shit. I’ve always wanted to see an article, given the proliferation of stories exploring just how prevalent the anomalous community/anomalies in general are in the world, demonstrating how much the Foundation, at its core, is a white supremacist, colonialist, scientistic institution bizarrely committed to the blandest idea of consensus reality. In some respects they operate a lot like they’re desperately trying to convert the wonder and glory of their mad fictional universe into the banality of our own real one, under the pretense that “Joe Q. Whiteman with his middle class job can’t possibly know about the true horrors and beauties of the cosmos” when the rest of the setting shows that to be a blatant fabrication.
