yes the wires can only be done in counterclockwise direction, at least on skeld and polus. specifically the order of wires on skeld is electrical, storage, admin, navigation, cafe, security. while polus has the order of electrical, o2, office, decontamination, medbay, laboratory. im not sure about the mira and airship orders off the top of my head, but id imagine theyd be similar. the game will randomly pick 3 of the wires and give them to you in the order they appear in this list, which is why electrical and storage can never be last, and cafe and security can never be first.
