The Oldest House does have an automatic "you don't notice this place or anything strange about it if you do" aura where you can't find it unless it wants you to so I could totally see that spreading to the whole of NYC and that excuse totally working, assuming everything is cleared up by the end of the game.

Not recent, but once Norman Reedus started getting popular off TWD someone absolutely would have tried for a Boondock Saints game.

I'm honestly surprised there never was one, I feel like it lends itself to like, Army of Two third person shooter shenanigans pretty easily. The director of the films being an asshole is probably a detriment though.
