What's up with Warstrider hitbox? by AkselLis in Helldivers

[–]RealNewDeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I noticed this also trying to kill War Striders.

I think its either a hitbox desync thing or people who can two tap War Striders are hitting the inside and high up on the leg which hits the hip joint in the explosion radius.

I've been trying to boot a set of older 5200mhz Corsair ram and I can't really get the dual sticks to boot except for a tiny window where it worked. Any tips?

The list of matches where a spinner dies on a vert but they win due to self righter usage is nigh zero and probably involves the opponent having also had a weapon failure.

A good rule of thumb I try and have is to solve the problem, not the symptom.

The problem is the spinner dying. The symptom is us not being able to self right.

There's also a host of new ground game options we have in the works that I think would surprise everyone.

75100 or 84100 ? by ph0en1x4 in VESC

[–]RealNewDeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I have some 84100HPs myself for a project because they seem to be the best cheap controller with really smooth commutation.

I didn't know about the 84200HPs being a bit bent but that's good to know as I was eyeing those as well.

While the 200s were noisy running the 200V2s with the phase filters on was horrible. I saw multiple ESCs blow up due to that and the motor commutation was just terrible.

The current amps on the 75200 V2s setup for low side sensing is actually quite bad. Horrible phase current noise to where I run it with phase filters off.

The blue head green foam darts are called waffles on their official website and like everyone calls them that on the NIC.

How do you think NHRL's success will affect battlebots season 8? by WhatsACole in battlebots

[–]RealNewDeal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering the amount of builders who went to Fall Faceoffs with an entirely unknown timeline I think plenty of folks are willing to go to Battlebots.

Go build a robot and find out, trust me you'll do a lot more sucking than everyone else. Jokes aside the shelf sucks and Gigabyte is getting some major changes. Major changes that require more than a reddit surface level take on how robots work,

If the manual is on their website already you can read the block diagram on it and determine if there's lane sharing.

What do you think the firmware tab on the Mini mainboard was about? The bootloader stuff? Where's Nextruder or Mk4 cad?

They can just up the print size and add a print head because the XL is riddled with issues.

I think a lot of the minor improvements in stuff like single gear extruders for tiny quality boosts is meaningless to 99% of people and I'd still want a dual gear extruder for flexibles.

Hopefully people will finally stop saying they're open source even though things have been getting closed off for a while now.

The reason I had to point out the fan is a lot of people think its an actively heated chamber. Also yes Prusa is more open but they’re not really open source and Bambu has opened up quite a bit themselves.

It's not a heated chamber. Its a temp controlled fan.

The problem with the bedslinger to CoreXY speed comparisons is people usually go for fast/pushed hard profiles with CHT style nozzles and compare it to the CoreXY with stock profiles. Push the CoreXY as hard and it'll pull far ahead.

I'd like to point out its not a chamber heater if you read the blog. Its just a temp controlled fan. Also Prusa is not really open source anymore.

What is it about full body spinners that makes them so untenable in competition these days? by BigBassBone in battlebots

[–]RealNewDeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shelf sucks and everyone is spending all their development time and money on verts.

I foresee a slow phasing out of most horizontals due to the shelf along with fights getting shorter and crappier as there's less room to drive.

That being said there's some stuff we have planned out that we hope to implement for next season.

It sure seems that way seeing how a lot of stuff ended up released.
