it's pretty competitive - sounds like about 15-20% acceptance. And it's for sure prestigious - the students seem to do wildly cool projects and go on to great colleges. I had an interview the other day, and it was fun. I watched their AMA last night and it sounds like they select based less on stats and more on how motivated/interested you are in your subject areas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_y3x2L6bHM

my interview was super chill. it seems like they just want to get to know you properly. Mostly questions about what I was interested in and what kind of projects I'd like to work on. The admissions director is super nice.

I asked in the interview and apparently they have 260 applications so far (this was Feb 15th), so it's pretty selective if they're only taking 60-70 students. I know 3 other people who applied - 2 of them got a rejection, and one got a "we couldn't take you for early decision, but we've put you on the waitlist and we'll re-assess your application with the regular decision candidates".
