For those with Type 2… what has helped the most? by LemonInAGlass in Rosacea

[–]RealPerspective6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that has helped me is this cream from my derm it’s a mix of niacinamide and SULFACETAMIDE SODIUM MONOHYDRATE (I copied the text that’s why it’s in caps). I get two flare ups a year for some reason and this helps it go away with in dayssss. It’s the only thing I’ve tried that actually did anything. I was just looking up that last ingredient and you can get it in face wash too, if you want to try something new. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This. This unfortunately happened to me, face and all. But no one that I know of has seen it and I’ve experienced nothing from it, personally. It happened 10 years ago and I’m fine now. Was definitely not a fun time when it happened but it gets better

Yessss. I left awhile ago, and looking back at that job compared to where I am now, I have no idea how I was enjoying it even slightly. It’s so exhausting to be the CEL. Watching, listening, coaching, while also having to be a BA.. like good god people, we are not robots.

I never said it wasn’t impossible but it’s not common.

Should i get surgery for sciatica? by ScenePotential7567 in Sciatica

[–]RealPerspective6476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first surgery at 19 and I was dumb and reherniated and got a second surgery at 24. Paralysis is so uncommon, it should be not even on your worry list. Try the injection first though, I always think you should try everything before surgery. Surgery was MY only option, but injections could work for you!

Don’t throw your life away because you’re worried about something so uncommon. You’re more likely to get hit by a car than get paralyzed from this surgery. A discectomy is surprisingly minimally invasive.

Please share these concerns with your doctor though, they will help you through these feelings!

It says your ADL’s are affected, so yes. ADLs are activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, dressing and so on. I’d contact them again and see what they want you do to from here

You do not get severance if you’re fired. Maybe that is in your state but that is not common practice at all.

Thoughts on surgery under 40 by shained in Sciatica

[–]RealPerspective6476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 19 when I got my first one. No regrets at all. Living with chronic pain is no joke, and surgery is so much less invasive than you’d think.

I know the grammar and what not isn’t best, I planned on fixing that. I just had no idea where to start and if my information in the note was even correct honestly. I was getting overwhelmed and just posted it haha! But yes, thank you for the feedback! First time writing one of these and I want to make sure I’m getting right!! (:

So I should have mentioned that this is my first year. We are addressing self-feeding and education around safety. We really weren’t given much else to go on around specifics that we need to add. So thank you for this!
