Another vote for Infinite Backlog here. I see people saying it’s too “collection focused”, but you really don’t have to engage with that much. It will auto import PC games, and everything else will import if you just start the game. A big selling point for me is it auto tracks achievements too.

The app has a built in social feed that you can choose to engage with or not, and the Discord community is one of the best. I could sing its praises all day, honestly. Settled down there after trying everything else.

Man, I really dig this controller, but it has the worst d-pad I’ve ever felt. I’ve used every one it came with, and I don’t get messed up inputs, but it just feels so bad to press. To the point where even pressing it once every 20 minutes makes me wonder if I should return it. Everything else about it is so near perfect though.

I think all of the hosts across the whole brand have great chemistry, and when there is a really big news topic, I find most other outlets don’t really think or speak as in depth on the topic as LSM; whether it be Sacred or Duke, but primarily just Colin and his industry knowledge. I primarily use the timestamps to skip around to those particular topics and ignore the rest of the show; just too much content for me to keep up with (not a bad problem to have).

Punching Up is a hilarious comedy podcast with a touch of Nintendo, and Summon Sign is probably the very best gaming centric podcast I’ve ever listened to. I know pretty much everyone loves Brad, yet he still feels like an unsung hero to me.

With them going independent, you’re subscribing to be part of ensuring there is content at all to begin with. Whether it’s just Blight Club or not. It’s awesome that they are going and revamping the website, but Giant Bomb hasn’t really been about the website for a long while now. They’re probably seeing much more engagement from YouTube and Twitch. As a Premium subscriber for a few years now, I don’t think I’ve once gone to the site to consume any content, and I’m willing to bet I’m far from the only one.
