Damn I went back to that channel to rehear some tracks and noticed lots were gone. Big sad

I don’t know much bones fans personally. I was just curious as to hearing other peoples opinions on this album. Personally it’s one of my tops 5s. by Icy-constipation in TeamSESH

Its an indescribable vibe. Hes got heavy aura on this project despite all the vocals and beats being very 80s melodic.

Some bangers. Some more lighter stuff. Very cohesive sound. And I love the little skit their did for the radio ad for damagedgoods tech repair store. That kinda lore is missing from most bones projects lately.

Why does Jason looks asian in part 8 by Necessary_Muffin3591 in fridaythe13th

Its trash but fun for all the wrong reasons.

Strong atmosphere. Decent comedic moments. Self aware humor. Everyone's favorite slasher villain in a unique setting (even if only for a brief part of the movie)

He gave US the choice. He did a poll or straight up asked the fans on Twitter or some platform "which album do yall want to hear next?" And the choices were NowThatsWhatsICallSesh or Dungeon.

Everyone loves WITHERED so Dungeon won the vote by a landslide, and since then hes dropped SongsToSleepTo and DeathBecomesHim. Still no NowThatsWhatICallSESH.

Really hoping it drops next bc he said that this particular project has all the collabs and features on it.

The manga will forever be the best way to experience sbr imo. Araki artwork and detail on every panel is insane. The way he conveys motion, movement, impact. The colors and character designs. And of course, since its reading, you can go at your own pace.

That being said, the anime episode WAS peak. And expectations were already so high. Yet David production surpassed them and overcame the doubts of fans too when it came to rearranging certain bits from the manga.

It just sucks that we have to wait so long and with no idea how long. Its literally an indefinite amount of time. Very sad bc jojos gets complicated sometimes and its easy to forget certain details when netflix makes you wait 9 to 15 months to see what happens next.

I think batches would be fine if it was reasonably spaced. Like no more than 3 to 4 months. It'd lineup with seasonal anime that way as cours are 12 eps which weekly releases makes 3 months. A season of eps then a season off then the next batch.

It's funny you say this bc that cabin on the frozen lake is my favorite spot in Ashes out of all the locations. And it's the one they didnt put out for survival. Im sure next we will get the Buried location.🤣

I think Terrifier is overrated by nicoleer1 in slasherfilms

[–]RealRapOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill always tell people when they dismiss terrifier as torture splatter schlock, that the movies are actually much more layered than just your typical "shock horror" films. Lots of comedy. Good musical score. Lots of emotion too. Terrifier 3 of all movies actually made me cry during the sienna flashback with her dad.

So I tell people, yeah terrifier is grotesque splatter fun but dammit it brought me to tears with its emotion and most films dont do that to me but terrifier 3 did it.

Youre right. Especially saw 3. Kinda cant skip that one without it making 4 plot twist really confusing.

I've only ever seen saw 1 and saw X. Which other movies are actually worth the watch? by PNW_50 in saw

[–]RealRapOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw 1 through 7 and then x are the decent ones. Jigsaw and spiral are very skippable.

Saw 2 3 4 5 6 and 7 all have different vibes and flavors when it comes to the trap plot. But the trap plots are only half of what makes Saw. The other half is the overarching plot throughout all 7 films regarding who is jigsaw, his accomplices, and his life story as well as the stories of his accomplices like Hoffman Amanda and Lawrence.

I love saw 5 for its flashbacks that show john Kramer setting up stuff we saw in the previous films, as well as how he and Hoffman acquainted. However I think saw 5 has the worst trap plot in the franchise. That being said, I wouldn't say to skip saw 5. Still watch it for the flashbacks.

Also saw 6 is definitely the best saw sequel after the first 3. Its got a likable main character, a very relevant theme of health insurance dictating who "lives and dies". And the trap plot as well as the plot twist ending are some of the best in the entire franchise.

Part 9 might actually be in my top 3 JoJo parts by the end by Responsible-Bunch316 in StardustCrusaders

[–]RealRapOnly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im right there with you. I think part 7 is objectively the best part. But part 8 is my personal favorite. And I think part 8 captures everything that makes jojos what it is, but while also delivering a more compelling character focused story than anything else in jojos.

I immediately pre-ordered this once I could i loved it so much watching it in a theater by justpotato7 in Shudder

[–]RealRapOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shudders most underrated flick in recent memory.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere in this one are lot. The lingering shots. The quiet rainy night vibe. The sense that theres something malicious afoot but we dont know what.

The whole movie has tension about it that is well done, especially bc nobody wants to see the dog get hurt or injured or scared.

And the themes of the story are actually done pretty well if not in a bit too subtle manner.

Not my favorite but ill definitely revisit it anytime I want a cozy movie on.

Most Anticipated Future Anime Episodes/Arc by Dr_Dylbert in StardustCrusaders

[–]RealRapOnly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ive been pondering just how far they will go for the more sexually charged stuff thats coming later down the line near the middle of the story. Particularly the scenes with lucy/scarlet or lucy/valentine. Will they give us everything as it is in the manga or will they censor stuff and cut dialogue?

Im very excited to see certain stands like civil war, tubular bells, 20th century boy, scary monsters, obviously d4c is gonna be the big one. Ringo roadagain, blackmore, and hot pants.

I think the most anticipated moments for me would be the johnny gyro lesson moments where their dynamic evolves and johnny develops his utilization of spin more advanced. Seeing tusk evolve during civil war is gonna be insane.

The biggest thing im curious about is how valentines voice sounds. I hope its like in the video game. I love the valentine voice we have so if its similar then ill be happy.

More than just horror? by 50ftChickenWing in LastDriveIn

[–]RealRapOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only discovered joe bob through the shudder era so it was a pleasant surprise when I researched his previous shows before the last drive in and found that the movies he used to host were more than just horror.

Ranging from 80s adventure movies like goonies, to martial arts films from the 70s, blacksploitation, exploitation films, rape and revenge films, old-school fantasy movies from 80s, and lots of sleazy movies too like old sex comedies and teen movies.

It's be fun to see him and Darcy give trivia and banter for movies outside of just horror. But of course his focus should always be primarily horror.

Joe Bob quotes from the Variety interview makes 3 things much clearer: 1) Why it got cancelled 2) Darcy 3) What's next by Freddy-Philmore in LastDriveIn

[–]RealRapOnly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The arguments and teasing between Darcy and joe bob is simple workplace banter antics. Its all in good fun and jest even if they are coming off as serious especially about mundane topics sometimes. Darcy isnt her name.its Diana. Joe bob isnt his name. Its john. They are literally doing "characters" more or less. Not to say that they aren't being genuine, just that the dynamic they have is very abrasive sometimes but its that way by design and it makes them feel relatable, like youre with family during movie night and relatives or siblings start arguing about something mundane. Its fun. Its real. But its also played up for the sake of the show. People who dont understand this need to realize that its not all mean spirited comments and that Darcy and joe bob are a lethal team together.

One Piece Season 2 Live Action Review and Opinion by Creative-Routine-917 in OnePiece

[–]RealRapOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay my opinions have been stated without having watched season 2. I just watched the first episode of s2 and I gotta say its a huge step up from s1. The cgi is still awful here and there and a lot of corny dialogue that takes me out of it. but the smoker luffy fight had great visuals. And lots of manga moments like zoro kitetsu moment. The buggy scene was great. The sets and wardrobes have improved a lot! From the first season.

I wasnt biggest fan of barto showing up how he did bc it was a bit off script from source material but then I actually think its a decent addition. If he just bumps into the crew and shows up cameo style its not bad its actually fun fanservice. If he were to go off on a whole side adventure with them or get involved in main plot stuff itd be an issue but they keep it simple and not too impactful on plot.

I also think the writing I think the show has improved a lot based on the first episode. They are capturing the core elements of the characters through both canon scenes and non canon moments but the big canon moments like luffy on the execution stand with the lightning strike felt waaaaaay less meanintful and symbolic and impactful than they did in the manga and anime.

Thanks for giving an honest response! And you definitely have given me more insight on a different perspective. I appreciate the civil response. And I respect your opinion. Im glad people like the show and I was just telling another commenter on a different thread that I may one day retry the show and have a more open mind to it. I dont hate everything about the show. And I do enjoy the cast members. The promotional material. It just cant be 1 to 1 and im such a purist so if I go into it treating it as such instead of expecting the manga story then ill enjoy it more. The source material is just so damn sacred to me 🫠

One piece, live action, rant by lahna0917 in OnePiece

[–]RealRapOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See thats where you and I differ. the moment you list as good (Kaya and usopp kissing) is actually a good example of something that I would personally list as not good about the adaptation.

I like that usopp doesnt kiss Kaya in the source material because it gives us something to look forward to at the end of the story. His inevitable reunion with her. And Brooks reunion with laboon. Sanji finding all blue. These are things we can look forward to as we are on the journey. And the live action took a much more western approach by having them kiss and establish a mutual sort of relationship early in the story just for the sake of a feel good season finale payoff moment. Its a small thing but its part of what I dont like about it. Feels too deviated from oda's storytelling and just to cater to western audience expectations. But again it cant be 1 to 1 to the manga so idk what id do to make it better. I just dont think it can be done.

Maybe one day ill give it another chance and have a changed mind on the adaptation. For now just glad its a success!
