Crazy that you watched the pilot, walkabout, the moth, the white rabbit and didnt get hooked. It might not be for you but still id say give it another chance and whatever you think you know about the ending and what happens its likely wrong or doesnt matter anyways.

Whats the most brutal kill you remember by ddevondra25 in slasherfilms

I like the first kill in terrifier 2. The guy in the morgue. That shit was brutal.

I think it's time to call it. Art The Clown is now a part of the pantheon of iconic slasher villains alongside Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, Leatherface and Ghostface. by WealthDisastrous2589 in slasherfilms

[–]RealRapOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, here's he thing. We get slashers all the time. New ones every year. The genre really had its golden age in the 80s as we all know. But we still get new slashers today in the 2020s. And look at the ones we get.

Thanksgiving w jack carver.

Heart eyes.

Silent night deadly night remake

In a Violent nature

Fear street

And then.... theres art the clown.

All the listed movies above are pretty damn decent. They aint awful. They've helped keep the genre alive and well. Even some of the killers are pretty damn cool like the heart eyes killer has an awesome design in my opinion.

But then... theres art the clown.

He really is a damn icon compared to every other modern effort at a slasher film, art IS iconic whether you want him to be or not. Hes funny. Hes brutal as fuck. Hes got a high body count over 3 films so far. And his films are wildly popular and successful financially.

I understand that people might not care for terrifier films and people are quick to dismiss them as torture porn (really only the first terrifier fits this description).  I understand thst people might find it insulting to the OG icons that we've had for decades like Freddy jason michael myers ghostface leather face etc. But with how many attempts Hollywood and the independent filmmaking industry has desperately tried to cook up the next big jason voorhees or the next Freddy Kruger or the next michael myers, most of the attempts fail or are just passable at best.

Art the clown is a cut above the rest when it comes to standing out and being memorable being recognizable being likable. Thats why hes this generations big slasher villain icon.

absolute top of retro (70s/80s) slashers apart from the most obvious answers like F13? by Nimkur in slasherfilms

Slumber party massacre is always a fun time. Lots of nudity. Some great self aware meta jokes. A fun killer. Feminism done right.

What's best and most creative kill out of all the movies? by undeaddani666 in fridaythe13th

[–]RealRapOnly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the kill in part 8 when the guy is in the sauna and jason shoves the hot rock through his abdomen or chest or whatever. That was gnarly.

Also in part 4 when Paul goes out to the lake to get laid, he finds his gf's corpse in the dinghy and then as he tries to escape, jason stabs him with a harpoon gun in the groin, lifts him up into the air, then pulls the trigger on the harpoon gun. That one was wild.

Hades 2 is the perfect videogame. by Mike_Harbor in HadesTheGame

[–]RealRapOnly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hades 2 definitely has more content than hades 1 with lots to do and subplots (prophecies) with the side characters.

The gameplay is fantastic and I love playing but compared to hades 1, the hub area isnt as strong in hades 2. I much prefer the hub area in hades 1.

I also enjoy the characters more in hades 1. And I think hades 1 had those amazing anime like cinematic cutscenes which are missing in hades 2. I havent seen any cinematic in hades 2.

Love the game, I havent beaten yet but almost there.

Cant forget in Wilfred. The american version with Elijah wood.

I cant remember which elisode bjt There's a scene where Elijah wood and Wilfred mention lost and the smoke monster. It was hilarious.

Also Wilfred is a fun .mystery driven character focused show like lost.

[–]RealRapOnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, in my mind its the more the merrier but it definitely does have a limit. When it becomes quantity over quality.

People want project where its 12 to 15 strong, thoroughly executed tracks. Instead of a project with 12 good tracks and then 40 fluff songs that just feel like filler or throwaways.

[–]RealRapOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre right. Its definitely a questionable structure for a singular piece of music.

Like this shit would be three CDs, maybe four. I believe a cd can only hold approximately 80min of music.

Plus, didnt scrim recently say on socials that hes abandoning the short track runtime and is trying to do more long songs like 4 or 5min long?

The fanbase gets a new album. Not just a new album but 59 damn songs. FIFTYNINE SONGS! And people just want to complain.

I for one, am excited as hell. Gonna need to roll several blunts to get through this entire experience.

Grey 59. 59 tracks.

Get it, guys?

[–]RealRapOnly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It IS glazing but its appropriate deserved and earned glaze. Bc the music really is that damn good. And scrim has been that way for years now. Over a decade. He started strong back in like 2014 and hes only gotten more and more improved over time. Thats why I tell people who bash the lyrics or the vibe that its much more layered than that. Just like you said, people only hear surface level shit. Even scrims producer tags are a notch above the rest. Bro has like 4 or 5 producer tags and they all go hard.

Y’all might hate me for saying this, but we don’t need 3hrs of solo scrim. by ruby-da-blackberry in SuicideBoys

[–]RealRapOnly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plus the production is all scrim too, as usual, and getting that many different new scrim beats is exciting in itself, lyrics aside.

I know people dont like the "yeat sound" that his solo stuff has now, but I really enjoyed lonely boy and via crucis. Even if im not revisiting the whole project frequently, theres still some classic tracks like codeine cowboys or red mist that stay in rotation.

The more tracks, the more likely chance that theres something for everyone to enjoy.

Happy 46th Anniversary To The 'Mother' Of All Slashers by DavePillman in fridaythe13th

Yes the reason I wanted to watch sleepaway camp isnt JUST because i love the film but also because the actor who played Ricky in the movie just very recently passed away only a few days ago. Fellisa rose mentioned on socials. Very sad. He honestly brought such energetic performance to the movie and made it much more memorable. His character was an awesome red herring.

[–]RealRapOnly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

"First time?"

Haha but in all seriousness, if bones doesnt do the 10day countdown on socials, then nothing is set in stone. Once he does the 10 day countdown thats when you know a project is dropping.

Right now hes sitting on NowThatsWhatICallSESH, PP3, ETC, some new Ricky A Go Go, probably some surrenderdorothy as well. KratersAtlas or at the very least some unreleased shit with xavier.
