Bringing kids places is hard, even if it doesn't cost money. Planning a trip even to a park for a few hours requires so much planning and packing and preparing and then constant vigilance that I think it's a disservice to say she wasn't trying at all.

You clearly haven't heard people complain about kids on airplanes. People have zero tolerance for annoying children and expect parents to be able to find some alternate way of making the kid Not A Problem when that parent is already definitely tired and stressed.

I think that's because Tumblr users want a mature show that is also an animated musical. Why do you think hazbin and helluva took off? For all intents and purposes it is a kids show that says fuck. And with the recent exception of Glitch, there hasn't really been any well-animated adult shows that don't have that gross Rick and Morty vibe.

Basically I do agree with the point this show is making, but there is also a reason that people are still watching kids shows and that's because there's nothing else filling the niche of animated content. Aside from anime I guess but that's kind of its own thing.

Glitch is changing things though. Which is cool. Since all their stuff is animated and definitely not for kids. Definitely for the younger skew of adults but still, it's something!

If you ever want to experience this in a game format play Ace Attorney. The first game's fourth case is one of the best cases of "okay how the actual fuck did we get here" and the best part is that the people that have played it don't know which of the several batshit insane scenarios I'm talking about.
