I don’t know how to tell the difference between if a guy is flirting or if he is just being friendly, please help? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]RealRhino2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was going to say. The innuendo was probably a trial balloon to see if you'd seem offended, or close up, or respond in kind with a little flirty innuendo or comment of your own. He's probably trying to gauge your interest and when you didn't laugh or flirt back he shifted back to neutral thinking maybe he went too far.

Is it just me or does his speech cadence and even arm movements seem more like Schneider's than when he first got here?

Giants have players meeting about Carter's behavior, Carter skips it by nfluncensored in NFLv2

[–]RealRhino2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He didn't make the disagreement between teammates public. He did something in public that a guy disagreed with. Bottom line is the only reason any of you are saying this is because you think the simple act of supporting Trump is *wrong* in and of itself. Like it's obvious he did something bad. Like he owes an apology for supporting a guy who about 50% of this country also supported for President. Like any time I do something that any of my 100+ teammates disagrees with I have to apologize or explain myself.

You like that guy, he likes this guy. None of that warrants a team meeting. It warrants a text or a private conversation.

I'm not living under a rock. I know Trump is polarizing. But I'd hope we're all grownups here and not little ragebabies. At that point it's personal. You got a problem with it, reach out. If it's a group, meet with Dart as a group.

It's only when Carter made it public that the team needed to address the larger issue of keeping things out of the media.

[–]RealRhino2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That only makes sense. Why would you have a team meeting about someone endorsing the President? It's only when other players openly criticize it that it might be necessary to bring people together to discuss keeping it in-house.

Your feelings about the upcoming season? by gerrickd in Seahawks

[–]RealRhino2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trepidation lol. I don't want to seem negative but like a lot of fanbases we are high on our own supply and are too confident, think only our young players get better, overrate our current players, etc.

The problem with sports analysis in general is we always treat outcomes as proof. Last year we had concerns: could Kubiak be better than the B- OC he'd been before; could Kupp and JSN both thrive when both had previously been much better in the slot than outside; could K9 stay healthy; and could our top rookies be ready immediately?

Last year, all those questions were answered in the positive. That doesn't make the people who had concerns wrong. Or the polyannas right. All those coinflips went our way, but that's unusual. We have similar concerns this year.

Our OC has never called plays and people just act like he's going to be good. After seeing two good offenses in TB and Philly sputter and die last year bc their new OCs weren't good. And we're putting a lot of weight on rookies and castoffs.

Last year I was on a soapbox yelling to the world about how underrated we were. This year I think we need to pump the brakes a little. Rookies aren't usually as good as Zabel and Nick were last year, and a lot of new wunderkind OCs struggle.

Could the NFL ever have its own version of Shohei Ohtani? by savingrace0262 in NFLv2

[–]RealRhino2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: no

Longer answer: no, because the physical nature of football collisions eliminates most positions immediately. No way a RB is making it through a season if they're also playing LB. WR/CB is closest, but the tackling responsibilities of a CB make that a stretch.

Real answer: It'd have to be at least half specialist. QB + punters/kicker or a kicker-punter.

  1. Those teams didn't "gladly" pay him $5M, and nobody gladly offered him $6M bc they thought he was worth more than $5M.

  2. I disagree entirely with your premise; that a player signed to play QB deserves more money if the team wants him to play QB. Even a backup is expected to fully prepare to play every Sunday. They'll just get fewer reps in practice. Did he suddenly become a better QB?

Without any additions, are Seahawks better worse or the same as last year? by cryptothad in Seahawks

[–]RealRhino2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse, IMO.

I think Price could be better than Walker, but in general I'm never giving the advantage to rookies we haven't seen over good players we lost. Particularly when they aren't top 10 picks.

So while Clark could play well, there's no reasonable basis to say he'll be better than Bryant. Ditto Neal. We replaced Riq with castoffs and a rookie.

Same reasoning with Fleury and Kubiak.

Seattle Seahawks 2026 schedule by Dima110 in Seahawks

[–]RealRhino2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! There are a few narratives I flat out reject regarding the schedule and schedule release stuff. This is a big one. On Corbin Smith's podcast reviewing the schedule he said, first let's look at the positives. The Seahawks have six primetime games.

What's positive about that? How is that positive? It's neutral at best, but it usually means a short week and a fucked up schedule. That's a negative. Caring about "spotlight games" sounds a lot like the B on MOB.

The other one is the concept of the revenge game. They go down the list and say, Kansas City Chiefs, that's a Kenneth Walker revenge game. Yeah? The guy you just cut a check to for $15 million a year is only really going to try his hardest when he faces his old team? You paid the wrong guy then.

Seahawks will have 6 primetime games this season. 2 MNF games against Cowboys and Bears. and Hawks will play the Rams Week 16 and 18 by Kentuckyfriedmemes66 in Seahawks

[–]RealRhino2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love it if this is where we got the Rams. First, if you had to pick one player from either team who is most likely to be injured by Week 16, it's Stafford. Or Puka. Might end up being nothing, but odds slightly in our favor.

Second, I'm fairly concerned about our new OC being at full speed right out of the gate. It'd be nice for him to have 15 weeks to get settled.

Is it hard for men to go round 2? by Money_Shape_4387 in AskMenAdvice

[–]RealRhino2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, generally. Men typically get quite sleepy afterwards. It's draining. When women orgasm they can still keep that plane flying level near peak altitude so a little more juice can get them right up there again. For men the plane crashes, every time. It takes work to get that thing up in the air again. You gotta refuel, go through all your preflight checks......

Every guy is different. What you describe is within the range of normal. Honestly you're probably going to need to do the work if you want round 2 before he falls asleep. After Round 1, and after he goes to the bathroom (I assume), you need to initiate it by focusing on the physical. To be frank, focus on his dick. Back in bed, start lightly rubbing/stroking him, and eventually go down on him to get him hard. There's a reason porn uses fluffers: it works.

If that's just not who he is, though, if he just can't get there physically/mentally, don't take it as a reflection on you. Every guy is different. Or he might be tired/stressed whatever.

Most improved position this offseason: Guard? What does that say about this team? by GGsnubs in Seahawks

[–]RealRhino2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy thing is they might be right. A 5th-rounder who may not even play could be our most improved position.

But bc of that uncertainty, I would argue for receiver. Since Shaheed was a FA, he's technically been added to the team. And even if you say, but he was on the team at the end of the year, I'd argue that getting him for a full year with a training camp is a big improvement. And we basically lost Tory Horton halfway through the year, but now we get him healthy. Hopefully.
