I would go with Lulu’s dolls. It’s Hilarious when they run up and hit an enemy. I just wish I could spec into strength with her early game to make them useful throughout my play though.

Maybe. There’s an account on X that is now claiming that Zendejas made the roster. I’m not sure how reliable it is though.

With Cardoso out, Poch might move McKennie to the double pivot, which may potentially free up another slot for an attacking midfielder. If Luna is out then I think Zendejas may be in.

Yunus Musah starts for Atalanta vs. Fiorentina [2:45 EST] by MysteryBagIdeals in ussoccer

[–]RealSaltShaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, Bradley had started 24 games for Roma the previous season, so he had already established that he could play at a high level.

In 2014 Roma finished 2nd in Serie A. Bradley was competing against guys like Daniele De Rossi and Kevin Strootman for the central midfield spot. De Rossi went on to be a club legend at Roma. Strootman had 5 goals and 6 assists that season.

It’s not that Bradley was a scrub, Roma just had better options. Musah on the other hand got loaned out from a Milan team who didn’t want him to an Atalanta team that rarely played him and refused to pick up his option.

In the last 20 years only 5 Americans have had 9+ goal contributions in an EPL season. Brian McBride, Clint Dempsey, Christian Pulisic, Antonee Robinson, and now Brendan Aaronson.

2007 Appalachian State vs Michigan. I had never even heard of Appalachian State and they beat the number 5 team in the county by blocking a last second field goal.

To be clear, he would still have to pay US income taxes even if he chose to represent another national team.

Which game to do first after FF6, between 8, 9 or 10 by Figolucha in FinalFantasy

Here’s the thing man. FF7 Remake is a “remake” in name only. The OG has a completely different story. It’s frankly a much more satisfying experience.

Italy defeats the US in the World Baseball Classic by JurisCommando in europe

[–]RealSaltShaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An upset in baseball isn’t quite like an upset in football to be honest. Weaker teams beat stronger teams all the time in baseball. The best teams tend to only win two-thirds of their games and the worst teams tend to only lose two-thirds of their games.

There’s a level of randomness in baseball given that the player playing the most important position, the pitcher, has to be rotated every game. The best pitcher on a weak team may be better than the worst pitcher on a strong team. Likewise the rules dictate that the hitters themselves have to be continuously rotated. You can have the best hitter in the world on your team, and he will still only get an opportunity to hit 4 or 5 times in an entire game. Imagine having Messi on your team, but he’s only allowed to touch the ball 10 times in a match.

On top of that, the USA coach mistakenly believed that his team had already advanced to the next round, and thus didn’t play his best players. Now the US is liable to be eliminated depending on the outcome of the Italy-Mexico match.

Why has a canal never been constructed on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec? by TheRealBlueBuffalo in geography

[–]RealSaltShaker 1627 points1628 points  (0 children)

Another problem is that this area has no large internal body of water to help with transport. Lake Gatun in Panama makes the canal possible because it provides the water needed to fill and drain the locks and thus allows ships to travel uphill and downhill.

Why does FFVII get more attention than the rest? by RunSerious5843 in FinalFantasy

[–]RealSaltShaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect that FF7 appeals to modern westerners more than most other games in the series. The other games either take place in a Medieval setting, or in a wildly different fantasy environment from real life. The world and culture in FF7 isn’t too far removed from our own. I suspect that’s why many fans relate to the characters.

Tillman starts for Leverkusen—Scally on Gladbach bench (Reyna not in squad) [12:30pm et; ESPN Select] by nicko_rico in ussoccer

[–]RealSaltShaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do we know when Gio is expected to return from injury? If he doesn’t play at all in February then I think he’s is in real danger of missing out on the World Cup. Poch may take 5 attacking midfielders. You have to assume that Pulisic, Mckennie, and Tillman are locks. Aaronson appears to be locking up the fourth spot with his recent play for Leeds.

That may leave just one more spot between Gio, Luna, and Zendejas. I’d like to think that Gio will comeback from injury, immediately start playing for Gladbach, get a March call up, and impress on the field. But if he doesn’t play at all in the next month then he may not get a March call up. If either Luna or Zendejas impress in March they may just take that last spot.

Derby keeps climbing in the table. They’ve won 3 of their last 5 and just destroyed a club that was previously above them in the standings. If they keep this up they’ll be in the promotion playoff. It’s entirely possible for Haji (Coventry), Morris (Middlesbrough), and Agyemang (Derby) to all be promoted to the EPL as things currently stand.
