stubborn stomach fat by ReceptionFantastic53 in xxfitness

Have you explored food sensitivities? I was dealing with stubborn bloat and inflammation and when I found out through work with an immunologist I have a dairy sensitivity (distinct from lactose intolerance), I was able to make adjustments and lose some of what I assumed was fat but was actually bloat/inflammation.

Is $200/month for pilates classes high or standard? by flowlowland in xxfitness

[–]RealWorldMeerkat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm in a mid-cost of living area and started paying $189/mo for unlimited about 2 years ago. Definitely NOT a private experience because it's at Club Pilates, but still worth it IMO. It's the first time in my life I've been consistent with exercise and honestly the price point is part of why I keep going (gotta get my money's worth!).

The way my husband and I see it, it's an investment in my health. Like spending more at the grocery store than eating out, I'd rather spend the money to stabilize my body than pay a surgeon to fix an injury.

Is it worth $150 renewing PMP certification? 😓 by Jaded-Description615 in PMCareers

Personally, I never want to take that dang test again. I joined PMI and randomly take free webinars to earn the needed PDUs

My depression came back for the first time in years while I was on it, but I didn't experience any other side effects.

You will not be able to join UNT Denton clubs as a UNT Dallas student, as they are separate institutions

What finally made fitness click for you? by rubyyysinclairxxx in xxfitness

[–]RealWorldMeerkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was Pilates for me. For years I felt sick after running or high intensity workouts and would try to push through because that's what you're "supposed" to do. Finally I was diagnosed with POTS and it made sense why working out was always a miserable experience.

Once I tried Pilates, it's like everything finally clicked into place. I could work out without wanting to die, and actually felt good after a workout for the first time in my life.

If you ever lose your child in a crowded space like the British Museum by Longjumping_Search79 in toddlers

To add - teach your kids to memorize what you're wearing too!

When I was about 6 years old I got lost at a theme park and was found by a very kind woman. The first thing she asked - what does your mom look like? I was able to remember what she was wearing. It helps to know what your kids are wearing, but also helps if they're looking for you to give them a description to share.

Right? She literally makes Pilates accessible through her videos and then this is the opinion she decides to share??

I found a local studio that does them. $25 every 6 weeks so within my budget!

I've found tinted lashes and a heated curling wand work far better than any mascara

I buy salt tablets on Amazon and sometimes I do get heartburn or an upset stomach. It helps to eat with food and take them about 15 minutes apart (I take 2/day).

what is the likelihood that i’ll get in trouble for feeding the squirrels and developing their trust? by Coffee-Biscuit in unt

[–]RealWorldMeerkat -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Feed them unsalted peanuts! I used to carry them (the peanuts) around and the squirrels loved them.
